As different names are mentioned for the promotion, surely it must be a current/recent person involved as they would probably need to be a VISA sponsor or whatever is needed for foreign riders🤷♂️. Just a thought

But have you thought about adopting a puppy? It may really be beneficial to yourself. There was even an advert on GB News a moment ago about adopting Greyhounds. Taking it for walks would give you plenty to do. You could even name it Monmore or Perry. Just trying to hep. -
Must be really bad the vandals brought some snow with them to sprinkle round the pits
-
I just hope it works because failure of Northampton while the premier league is decimated by numbers will be catastrophic for speedway as a whole, I will go as a new track as I think many will but when the novelty fan wears off they need a fan base

Have you thought about stop targeting me. Starting a useless thread about someone and dragging me in it is disgraceful. -
What about Northampton?

I wouldn't think so as it stands on what would be the 4th bend. -

Matt Ford spoke at the Coventry Stadium appeal. Brandon Estates brought in the odious Clarke Osborne to say that Speedway was dead and no one would want to promote speedway at Brandon if it was restored to former glories. Matt Ford spoke in opposition to say he ran a successful promotion at Poole, he knows Coventry is viable, and he would be interested in promoting Coventry. Whether his remit was just to testify that speedway is viable, and Coventry would be viable, or whether he is actually seriously interested in Coventry, probably only he knows. However he's not involved in Northampton. -
Newspaper and Magazine sales dropped around 80% in my stores over the last decade... My stores would get four cages worth on a Saturday and Sunday, and take two people well over an hour to put in the supplements, and now barely three quarters of a cage arrives . The demographic of those still buying them almost mirror exactly the demographic of those who attend Speedway in the UK regularly... There are literally dozens of examples of amatuer sports teams doing their own coverage, vlogs, with several getting tens of thousands of followers on YouTube etc... An ideal low cost opportunity for Speedway teams to do the same...

I would think its that Ippo was nailed on before Northampton was.

They have. I had Lawson nailed on for Northampton, maybe Ippo made a better offer?

I might be wrong but I think Ford was being touted as the promoter of the Bees, not sure he was/is investing in the project -

I've heard a few names over the duration of the Northampton story but none of the 4 mentioned and given that the team has been built by others I'd be surprised I suppose Adams might be an outside shout as TM and (as with Ipswich) he could also act as a promoter if required -

I don't know tbh. I thought i read that Ford would consider being a promoter if they came back, but that was a while ago now. -
The full Premiership fixture list will be announced on Friday (March 6) at 8am.

The money for Coventry is being put up by the stock car people isn't it? -
It wasn't meant to be funny... I found it funny that Speedway was under promoting itself again by only putting a few pictures on socials of some bent poles when trying to raise £10,000. If there's been 10 grands worth of damage I'd expect to see more, I've seen more damage to the fence after some crashes!

I can't see him putting up the money on a dangerous gamble like Northampton . He was involved with the Coventry return a while ago i believe. I don't think Coventry would be so much of a gamble, but who knows.. Time will tell. Could it be what's his name, the bloke who said that was going buy Peterborough, Tomalin ? -

Not sure where you've got your figures from but Mark Webber, while he has plenty of contacts within motorsport (and is a current Porsche ambassador), is not worth hundreds of millions. -
Well it looks like we will be finding out the answer to your question over this coming season. Meanwhile, good luck to all those folk concerned with bringing a new speedway venue to the Premiership.

Good news. Hopefully they can promote it well and build up a solid fanbase.
