As much as I don't believe the 36 point rumours I actually think your 2nd team is stronger anyway... especially if you swap Flint out for Rowe.

I'm not sure as it's bingo night at the local Darby and Joan club. -
So would I tbh, I just can't see Danny being let go though. Got to be a 40.00 Limit I would imagine otherwise a lot of riders on 6+ GSA's will be out of a Premiership place entirely.
-
Personally I don't believe the 36 Points Limit rumour simply because of the amount of riders who finished on 6+ GSA's in 2025. As always, I just go with the flow in the off season and build teams within a points limit just to show an example of how strong a team / teams could look like within the rumoured rules. My personal guess is a 40.00 limit and I still wouldn't be surprised to see one team join the Premiership (Glasgow or Scunthorpe)

With no injuries this kid will be the next big thing plus tap his name in utube there is a short video of him talking -
And then put admission prices up to £30 so we can watch even more sub standard riders and rip the public off some more

stewmac started following Mayfield Sports & 2026 SGP Series - Sadly, maybe not...

A Paul Mulally appears to have had one job in football (after leaving the police) - Head of Football Operations at Portsmouth...with Harry Redknapp. There's a Miriam Bentley listed as working at Specialist Risk Group, who appear to be growing quite rapidly, including branching out into sports - and motorsports specifically. They are also listed as a 'partner' of Team GB. Finally, there's a Jason Holmes who's also involved in the insurance sector and covers "extreme sports" - but he's in Australia. -
Hopefully... "Anything" that delivers 21st Century marketing being that hope.... A great piece in the Speedway Star today from Tony Mcdonald covering how similar so many of todays issues are with the sport 40 years ago, and the way so much of what we have today is a legacy of failing to change when, often, the writing was clearly on the wall by carrying on doing the same thing each season... You have to wonder, looking at the crowds now, if we are now at "ground zero" and necessity will actually truly be the mother of invention, and those in charge actually start to work collectively realising that they are really "one entity" and only as strong as their weakest link... One team getting 5000+ for a play off final is all well and good, however, dozens and dozens of meetings around the county being ran in front of circa 500, or even less, each season far outweighs that one night when the sport looked "popular".... Dozens and dozens of meetings with 500 MORE in attendance each meeting, has to be the initial momentum building target...

Don't all team managers
-
I agree with this, running a league is not really their thing but running something like the GP is but there are a couple of things which are odd like Redknapp asking Hearn and doing the publicity pics and then 3 of the shareholders in speedway futures Ltd are sport management people including ex motox rider Jamie Dobb, why ? Do they know something is coming ?
-
No idea if the 36 limit is legit or a rumour as many have suggested but I’d swap rew and Brennan for Danny and Tobi tbh their combined is 0.11 more so still fits under the 36 and you’ve got two younger riders with much more potential upside for average improvement throughout the season and in Tom in a weakened league he’d be a proper no.5 to back up Doyley - he’s not far off that the way he finished the season this year in a stronger league.
-
Maybe to unilaterally remove the cost and points of at least one top rider per team and remove Rising star concept in favour of another reserve.
-
It's a conspiracy theory, Bluey.
-
Two leagues? Top tier to see current no1’s depart with no rising stars but an increase in points allowed for two reserves. “Rising stars” accommodated in tier two along with points limit 2 or 3 points lower than top tier
-
Can't disagree with that real shame he's had such bad luck with injuries recently as although he's no longer the force he was at the top table in the UK league in 2024 he was winning races with his eyes closed.

As a local Essex boy he should be with Arena but we cannot beat Google at the moment! He will do well at Poole. -
