The petition will get people from all over the country/ Europe or Australia signing it, but I think the original intention was to see who would regularly attend. So may have many thousands of signatures but only hundreds may turn up. So could be a pointless exercise
-
Think everyone just got fed up in the end last winter as it was just dragging on for too long.
-
Refusal to put British Speedway first for start. Roles will be reversed from last winter, PREM Clubs will be the one's holding all the cards now to a point where CHAMP Clubs are the ones with a lot to lose. CHAMP is finished now, Heat Leaders will be offski with the Polish ruling and to make matters even worse for them, Kildemand and Nicholls are retiring as well.
-
Would need massive investment to do that surely ? They can’t even get a licence to run NDL because of how dangerous the fence is
-
I'd take that with a pinch of salt tbh. Money talks.
-
If Ellis regards Ipswich as his speedway home why did he jump ship this year. Its more than likely its his speedway home when he's looking for a place next year.
-
Have you told Dan T this as he said he is going to do Prem and Champ next season as just doing Poland and one other league is not enough racing.
-
In what way did Championship clubs get to big for their boots? Why would 2027 come back & bite them?
-
I hope the big boys in the PREM remember what happened last winter when the CHAMP Clubs got too big for their boots. Time for some sweet revenge this winter. CHAMP won't even have riders like Leon Flint and Dan Thompson in it let alone Josh Pickering and Zach Cook.

King's Lynn Stars 2027
Daniel Smith replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why would it be a drop? Depending how you want to build a team, you can have a 4.00-4.50 at No7 & it doesn't have to be a Brit. The Premiership should be the pinnacle of British Speedway, not a fast track for the bang average. If young Brits want to reach the top, try averaging 7+ at Championship level first. Rising Stars in the Premiership has been a failure. Don't forget the 25% given to the RS's, if all got re-employed in 2027, it would be an increased to team strength, not a decrease. - Today

Only rumour I heard was Mildenhall to Prem with Mr Brady in charge. 🤷♂️. Pure rumour & 2+2 probably making 5
-
Why don't people put their names to these statements? and why do you even need a petition, speak to spedeworth and pay the man all the money up front like he's (rightly) insisting on and your in business.

But stocks won't be on every Saturday, so a spare few Saturdays every few weeks will probably fit into the speedway fixtures
-
Just a thought can't see Deane giving up Saturday's for anything else.

Belle Vue - Remaining Fixtures.

In my view there is no chance of Kings Lynn making the play offs, there last chance was Sheffield beating Ipswich away which did not happenn. -
2027 terrestrial tv maybe?

Phil Morris mentioned a few weeks ago in the Speedway Star that they had turned down a good offer from Premier Sports to cover this season. I think their subscriber numbers would be too low for that to be worthwhile. -
Belle Vue - Remaining Fixtures.
Aries replied to a4poster's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not yet they ain’t. Ipswich still need two points and with Doyle in town Thursday and the way Ipswich struggled against a depleted Sheffield last night, that isn’t a certainty. The last fixture is Leicester away so likely no points there. It’s possible we stay on 18 points. Lynn have Leicester at home, Northampton away. Difficult to see Lynn getting the bonus against Leicester, but if they win at Northampton the bonus will be theirs and they’ll also finish on 18 if they beat Leicester at home also. Not sure who finishes above who in that scenario, I haven’t looked that closely other than the points on the board Let’s see what happens Thursday. -
Ipswich vs Sheffield Monday 7th September
Aries replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Probably due to home scoring. I don’t know the exact stats, but my guess is Mulford is better statistically than Edwards at Foxhall. Mulford rides Foxhall well. It’s a moot point anyway. Mayfield won’t be dropping Edwards at this stage. -
Maybe this year it hasn’t been such a disparity due to a couple exiting the scheme due to age and/or average so not as obvious, fair enough. The whole thing needs binning IMO I’ve never liked it or the way they’re selected since the get go. I’ve never agreed with the fact that just because your team has been crap one year, you then get the privilege of first pick the following year in a totally new season. Where you finished in one season should be totally irrelevant to what happens the following year. Nonsense.

Who are the consortium?
-
Premier Sports most likely I'd say, when (if) they work out who would be paying the production costs

Belle Vue - Remaining Fixtures.

Wow a reply from Ouch, I feel deeply honoured and privileged!! I thought I was was on your ignore list. It is a great shame Wolves are no longer a team, another one on the list of ex teams. -
I absolutely agree that the prices at belle Vue are good. I just think this needs to be reflected at other venues. When you turn 18 at Sheffield you go from paying £5 to £25. Students also only get a £2 discount there. I just think we're losing lots of younger fans from ages 18-25.
