Well let's hope the 3000 free tickets the Facennas are giving away lead to a bumper crowd and some good racing. It'll be interesting to see how many return if/when the Tigers lose, despite the good racing?! -
Lawson the rider then and build from there but one thing for certain need a number one

Brummies have been bloody good value at Leicester this season... more so than at their own (former) place -

Most clubs could not afford to help Workington. -
The Ben Cook injury and covering for him when he was #5 in the averages was the main issue but it was Kvech getting cleaned up in Gorzow which was the dagger to the heart of Lynn's season. Away wins at BV and Brum went begging as a result and he struggled with his shoulder for a while after. No surprise that we are finishing strongly with the top six all present and fit! As you say what might have been (an all too familiar tale).

Our riders aren't rich. Just ask our reserves. Most of the money they've invested is on the stadium infrastructure. Also, not sure how helping another team out can be seen as winning at all costs, especially as that team isn't winning anything this year! -
Those were the days and it separates the men from the boys. Sawdust, overalls, racing and the track comes good. Today no chance. Wimps the lot and it shows the contempt they have for the punter. Not even willing to give it a try and how many times in years gone by have riders put in some effort to race and then justify calling it off. Today not even a wheel is turned. It sums up why the sport has no credibility.

Its the reason fans dont travel away if there is the slightest doubt about the weather, years ago down went the sawdust on went the overalls and away they went. Nowadays with the modern bikes not a chance of that happening, i cant comment here as i didnt see the track but as some wanted to ride and others didnt i would imagine the referee would go with the majority?

Lawson is so professional in his approach,he deserves the success, just gets on with the job.He weakness of the Leagues compared to a few seasons ago is a bonus for him. -
anyone from Sheffield - just for balance! If both Holders, as suggested, and Doyle were reluctant i can well understand it - the is a GP at the weekend, but also Holder snr and Dolye are both late 30s and have had some bad injuries in their careers. I can well understand reluctance to ride on a track that may not be safe. For the record not there - so no idea if the track was safe or not but none of those three strike me as shirkers!

Just before the 1970 season started when interviewed on Border TV Ian Thomas labelled Vic Lonsdale 'The King of crash',,,,,but soon the crowd got tired of Vic's low scoring and booed at the mention of his name, he was hopeless. Then yes Chris Blythe got that title - not exactly one to be proud of eh. (I think Chris passed away this year?) And yes two unlikely lads won that 'best pairs' - I was there watching it.

Last match of a very poor season for the Scorpions. Which way will it go, will Scorpions find some winning ways, or will the Bears take it? Heart says Scorpions win, head says Bears win. Probably more media interest on round 2 of Allen v Wright with air fence on bend one/ two taking first hit.😁
