Apologies Kev! I thought you meant with one league, not with still our GP riders in it.

Back to the 6 pm start this weekend but on a Sunday evening when the Comets take on the Berwick Bandits for our last home League fixture of the season, where did that year go!! This meeting sees a return of former Workington favourite Peter Kildemand who will feel at home on the wide open spaces of the Northside track. Berwick will be no push overs a pose a real threat with a strong top five and two reserves in Dayle Wood and Jack Smith who have ridden the Workington track a few times in the past. Hopefully this weeks rain will not have too much affect on the track and Berwick bring lots of fans over , this really makes a difference to the atmosphere and brings in much needed revenue.

It’s the number of important meetings that will frustrate Tigets fans. It will be a tough ask for them if he does miss 2nd leg.It is a tough ask anyway but doable if he is there. - Today

Thought Ipswich would have Emil at 5 as he is usually a force round Owlerton, but obviously gives them a strong middle order. Adam Ellis on paper is a loss for riding at Sheffield but he hasn’t scored big since he left the club, Dan Thompson could be a busy man he always wins a few races. Sheffield will be feeling it after a battering at BV, escaped with the bonus point somehow. Picko and Chris Holder need to find an extra gear going into play offs if we are going to win them. The rest of the team have been performing as you’d expect, Jack Holder been on fire of late looking forward to seeing him against Doyle and Emil. 50-40 home win

Yeah this is not great if true, with Nagel in the Tigers team I fancied you guys to be lifting the silverware. The number of meetings he has now missed has to be extremely frustrating for everyone at Glasgow. -

Agreed. Let's hope they perform better at Glasgow. As for Sept 7th, no doubt Glasgow will want a rain off which must be a possibility for Scotland. -
Not the first time that's occured. I know of riders who were owed a lot of money in 2019 by Leicester (when Bates in charge) - 6 to 8 meetings in arrears - it was paid eventually, I must stress but riders who complained usually shipped out. Other Clubs were sanctioned, put on special measures, closed but a blind eye was turned if it was a Club linked to Management Committee or favoured Clubs.

I thought Bates stepped down at the agm due to pressure of business!?

Which makes it even worse!

The guests we've had for Nagel have been...from memory all absolutely shocking. I'm sure if you add up all the points they have scored over how many matches it's been he would've scored more in 1 match. I hope if it comes down to a Poole v Glasgow final for the league i hope he's available for both legs.....as obvs i'd love the Poole fans to see him in action 😉
