Extraleague round 8 Sunday 8th June
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Zmarzlik’s ability to read situations and react quickly is a cut above anybody else in world speedway -
I think you might have your work cut out there! If Becker isn’t fit to take his place tomorrow, it is possible that Danny King could guest for the Lions (think they might go with R/R though). If King did guest, you would have to tell your mates that King and Brennan actually ride for the same team (Ipswich) but neither of them are riding for their own team and will be riding against each other😂. If that doesn’t put them off and they want to attend further meetings, you should become a promoter!
-
You’ll get 4th potentially now with Leicester losing Becker for the season.

Favourite Speedway manager.

Would love to go for a pint with Peter Adams. A sense of humour so dry he could start a forest fire. -
i'd agree with that. Before the season started, i though we might get 4th. It will probably be 5th now. If we can up our game in the 2nd half of the season, and Leicester wobble, you never know.

It’s more of a promising side compared with last season, however not a playoff side and will be ok for not picking up the wooden spoon this season. -
Poole Pirates Vs Redcar Bears June 11th
LisaColette replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Ace has had the odd good race at Poole, so depends if he has his gating boots on. Redcar have nearly won at Poole a few times now over last few years but we always managed to get the win over the line in last 5 heats. This could come down to a superheat! I think the meeting will just flip one way and then the other, just depends who has momentum at the end. -
NSS always serves up awesome racing. However, the cynic in me says it will be slicker than snot for the GPs. That's before I've looked at a weather forecast!
-
You say that... But you moan because Kerr is not riding to his average, but your other top 5 are all averaging higher than they started so far, when i last looked. Good job your not at Lynn fan at the moment Their starting average, and where they are after the first 8 meetings. Added Cook, but he ain't had a fair crack yet. We've been unlucky with Ben. Starting ave. Cook 6.99. - 2.54 (Averaged 3.20 from 4 meetings, RR or guest 5.70 from the other 4.) Lawson 6.91. - 0.59 Klindt 6.58. - 0.24 (Stint at reserve) NKI 6.83. - 0.89 Harris 6.06. + 0.09 (Stint at reserve) Kvech 6.58. - 0.68 Not saying get rid, but they need to up it a bit.

A team of 6 pointers will not be in the playoffs mark my word. I’m very surprised that the team was built that way. Rob Lyon has been in the sport long enough to know that the team built is not a top side. -

Statement from Poland: There, it turned out that the 25-year-old had suffered a serious injury, which practically meant the end of his season. "Luke suffered fractures of his thoracic vertebrae in the Th3, Th5 and Th7 sections. Fortunately, the player retains sensation and can move his legs, which means that the spinal cord was not severed," the Ostrów club said in an official statement. -

As a neutral looking forward to watching it on BSN hoping for a safe and close match -
Klindt is inconsistent., that is why he is still a 6 pointer, he is a gater and can beat anyone on his day .Iversen is a great team man, he isnt the rider he was but can still do a good job for the team

Klindt is damn unreliable and Iversen is past his best. They both need to take up skiing on that downhill slope. -

As far as Poole riders are concerned they are always keen to come round at home so fans can celebrate with them, not so much away from home but they do sometimes probably depends on the importance of the meeting and the amount of fans at the meeting, they usually do at more local places like Oxford as there are plenty of us there. -

I only started following speedway in the mid 90s. My first meetings were at Armadale and for a couple of years, once I was hooked, I would go to Edinburgh, Berwick and Glasgow, over a weekend. Peter Carr was probably the first rider who I thought was in a different class, which I later found out was literally true but IIRC he hardly ever came round to take the applause. Not never, but IIRC not regularly. I was never sure why, was he just being super professional and wanting the bike back with the mechanics asap......? -

The Birmingham bowser is a tanker towed by a tractor. It is quite big.
