No my point is that Kurtz's plan ( fair play to him I have no issue with him ) was to gate scarper off try and build up enough of a lead while BZ who was dead last in a least three of the last five finals fights his way to the front . I take nothing away from Kurtz ,Hancock won his last two titles that way I do however remember how people moaned it was boring something never said about BZ ! The big problem if there is one for s/way is BZ only thirty years old IMO has another five yrs ( barring injury ) riding at the level he is now.Might even get better who knows I certainly think there are more titles ,I could watch him winning them all day long personally because of the manner and skill which he demonstates as he goes about his business .

Try Jan Steachman. He has a business that reproduces old footage from cine film, VHS & DVD to a new version

Do not - I repeat, DO NOT - trash them. I would take them at the drop of a hat, but obviously, I can't. There is too much important history to just dump them.

I don't think you can really. put it down to a snapped chain. If it was a one off final like back in the day, then yes you have a case. But over ten rounds imo I don't think so. Even without the chain issue, he only just scraped into the lcq as the lowest scorer that night in Prague. You could also say Kurtz had three rounds on his home track. Plus a former home track in Sweden. Kurtz has definitely taken it to another level this season and Bartoz had to ride out of his skin, just to hang on to his coat tails. I personally think the scoring system and the sprint race are all wrong. How many times have we seen riders miss out on a direct passage to the final like Lebedevs tonight, after scoring good pts in their five programmed rides. That doesn't take anything away what Kurtz has achieved. "Five GP wins". That is a record what might be not be broken. I think he will start favourite for next years series. So all in all it has been a fantastic debut season for him. It's just he has come against a very special rider.

I’ve just got from the Stock Cars and it was there big final with Dutch drivers etc that’s why the price was high and the extra seating constructed. Usual price around £24 for a standard meeting

GP line-up for 2026
HenryW replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'm just not sure if Doyle deserves another wildcard. He got one this year when there was already more than enough Aussies in the series and failed to make the cut. Yes, he missed a round, but he didn't exactly set things alight in the rounds he did do. One final all year. Then again, there aren't really any better candidates outside of Laguta, so he probably should get one. -

Doyle certainly has something to offer a bit like Freddie puts his self about and has been unlucky with injury this season. When you look at Lambert he finished in 7th but was “missing in action” most of the season. The points scoring system needs looking at you really should not be able to have a chance of scoring 20pts after scoring 6-7 from 5 rides. -
I don't know specifically about this meeting but usually stocks meetings are not as frequent as Speedway meetings. Perhaps less is more? If the entry fees you are quoting are correct then it shows again that speedway entry fees are competitive. We just don't market to or attract a cohort that will pay.

I would choose Doyle also. I know I’m a witches fan so easy to say but he is someone who never fails to give 100%. He crashed out of Warsaw, missed Prague, was injured but still tried to race in x2 Manchester GPs and was still only 16 points off qualification (Lambert 7th). -
I thought he meant Berwick Rangers.
