  1. Past hour
  2. Heavy rain but clearing in the afternoon depends on the damage the rain does
  3. No that’s true, but the figure is 700 not 500 so not NDL numbers.
  4. Ha ha you should be doing comedy on the stage, he's a top quality rider and would hold his own in any era.
  5. Worky do not have a rider in the top 20 averages (this week’s star)
  6. Really good to see young max Perry starting to show some good form. Well done to Glasgow for sticking with him and not dumping him like Poole did last year
  7. Why not just use averages given the whole basis of team make up relies on them Eg A 7 point rider is missing so the averages of the riders used to cover the 4 rides must be no more than 28
  8. I don't know, I was trying to look back to see if it was but couldn't find any date... I didn't look too hard though
  9. I don't believe they've said what level they proposing to come back at have they? But 500 certainly seems like an NDL level number
  10. Barring Injuries think Tigers will take some stopping in Play offs and KO Cup .
  11. I suspect rather than 'giving up' he's simply the best available.
  12. You are right, he did. I was mistaken it for a different meeting
  13. BIRMINGHAM: Tobiasz Musielak, Paco Castagna, Jonas Jeppesen, Keynan Rew, Matej Zagar, Ben Barker, Sam Hagon. SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Anders Rowe, Nick Morris, Josh Pickering, Chris Holder, Jye Etheridge, Leon Flint.
  14. I somehow don’t believe that if they are serious and the facility gets built they are aiming for NDL but who knows.
  15. Today
  16. I believe the 500 figure represents the average attendance across all teams in 2019. Speedway doesn’t officially release attendance data, so it’s just their estimation. According to their statement, they estimate around 700 spectators on average, with a peak of 1500 during the playoff finals. I think that figure is low, but then that’s how they justify the requirement of other events for stadium viability. I agree with you that fans of all clubs should support this application, however cynical they are of it, as it’s the only chance of Speedway returning to the Swindon area.
  17. Tobies Thomsen suggests Lynn have given up hope of a top 4 spot - no disrespect but he's not PL 6 point standard and likely to have a field day at reserve.. and do well to match kemp and Joe Thompson
  18. But if crowds are (say) twice/three times that much wouldn't it just lead the application being turned down on traffic grounds?
  19. Simon Lambert was the fastest Scorpion last night and he wasn't even on his bike when he proved it.
  20. Fun fact: Each of the top five riders in the Tigers team have over an 8 point average* for the season after Nagel's performance last night. *not GSA
  21. If the number one of a team gets to ride in heat eight that means the missing rider is the second highest scorer for his team. So no real issue there although a bit of a waste to put a number one in such a relatively (for him) easy race. A much better rule would be that a team must use RR before a guest can be used and where a guest is required (i.e. because two riders are missing) then the guest is used as a substitute for the lower average rider. The RR rule should be adjusted to allow any rider whose average is higher than the missing rider to be used once and twice if the RR is lower than the missing rider. However, RR facility should only be allowed for the same rider for 5 consecutive meetings after which the facility is withdrawn in favour of a guest with an average two points below that of the missing rider which will continue until the rider returns or the team sign a replacement rider. The above may need some tweaking, but the essence is to force teams to use RR and reduce/remove the use of guests.
