  1. Past hour
  2. I think the weather probably helped with the racing last night too. While meetings later in the season can mean wet and cold tracks it can also help get a bit more moisture in the base, the surface was pretty much perfect last night for most of the meeting with enough grip for those who wanted to use it. Wasn't slick and dusty and the racing reflected that. Really looking forward to the two legs of the final, hopefully both sides are at full strength amd the dreaded guests can be avoided.
  3. Sheffield will no doubt have a comment to make after Thursday, I’m sure they will beat us in the remaining league matches thus making the play offs another shambles. They then should have faced Belle Vue and Ipswich vs Leicester would have been tonight. The comments about “this is play off speedway” but nobody mentions two years in the row it’s been chosen and not finished on track?
  4. Today
  5. Absolutely this! It also confirms why playoff speedway will be here to stay this is by far one of the few meetings that all the TV viewers seem to have liked / enjoyed / loved!
  6. Yesterday
  7. Such a great advert for speedway, both teams really wanting it and good cut throat racing. Spot on. That's what you get when you have riders of the right mindset, and let's not forget they were apparently racing on the worst track in the country (as we are reminded on a regular basis).
  8. The BSPA will ''Bury their heads in the Sand'' as usual, look after themselves and look to see if Poole and Glasgow would step up to Premiership. If they do,and thats a BIG IF,they would need massive guarantees, for giving up their Race Night for a Mon/Thur racing.
  9. Such a great advert for speedway, both teams really wanting it and good cut throat racing. Was certainly better than the bland ippo/aces affair. Well done the Lions but a great effort from the Tigers. Spoilt brat jack inability to do his job cost his team big time.
  10. But we’re constantly told by some on here that winning the title is “worthless”, “meaningless”, “nobody cares” 🙄
  11. Not sure what you’re talking about here marko, and you’ve seemingly missed my point. I was responding to mikebv who made a jibe at Gavan about going missing from the forum for a few days if Ipswich fail to win. I was simply saying his fellow Belle Vue supporters who have been vociferous all year about how great Belle Vue are, have done exactly that, disappeared once they got knocked out.
  12. That was probably the best meeting I’ve seen live in the last two seasons. Congratulations to Leicester (and Ipswich) on reaching the final. Be good for the sport to have a new name on the trophy for a change!
  13. Absolutely, and so were those potentially capable of lifting the world title. Adams was a whole different level to Fricke, but yes way to fair to be World champion.
  14. Morris would also be ineligible as he already guested for Redcar in the Play-Off semi @ Poole.
  15. Just watched heat 15 again and Sheffield can whinge as much as they like because that sort of incident always ends up as all four riders back in a re-start.
  16. There is a difference between being over the top on here and how one would act at a track in person, I suspect most who like to banter on here are actually pretty decent people at heart, and the ones who act badly at a track, are probably not even on here.
  17. Douglas showed how street wise he was throwing the bike down after contact. Smart tactics
  18. Like AceBelle and Ouch from your lot you mean? Giving it the biggun all year long and then nowhere to be seen when Belle Vue have their @rses handed to them.
