  1. Past hour
  2. Same ^^ , tho my Star arrived today - w/e 6th December, Josh Pickering cover (!), also bought additional copy in supermarkets / newsagents tho often not on shelves. Curiously a big no.4 was written on the white wrapping: no. of batches it will be delivered, issues I'm owed. Actually I'm owed 3. Shame but I'm also looking at cancelling my subscription....
  3. A very tidy looking team being put together by the Gladiators. Hope Barker is one of the final pieces of the puzzle. Probably the only guest who got pass marks for us last season and I find his interviews refreshingly honest.
  4. Chris Louis is 56…. He is married and has 2 daughters one of whom is married with children and lives in Denmark Chris and his wife Julie work tirelessly all season and the off season not only running the club but promoting it and actually doing an awful lot on race nights … they both spend a lot of days at the stadium it was their passion and livelihood …. Add on Chris’s tv commitments to this as well Yes Chris is not impressed with the way the sport is heading But do you not think at his age with a family that the time has come for him to perhaps take a rest and enjoy his personal life a bit more ? The loss of John obviously hit Chris hard and now his dad isn’t around probably sees it as the right time to make sure he is there more for his family I don’t think for one second his decision was solely based on speedway Seeing the team win the league finally …. In a year when he lost John … possibly would be the right time to just step back Sure he is annoyed at the sport and the authorities but I feel that was the final straw over something he has thought about for a while
  5. Indeed. Not exactly a secret that Louis said from an early stage that he wouldn't join a single league set-up, and that he didn't want a 5 team Premiership.
  6. Ultimate top heavy side , the ritchings signing looks ok , cant see the other fella doing owt .
  7. Poole have done well to get a side close to Glasgows and Oxford definitely play offs at least Rushen is a great rider but I expect his away average to be better than the home one… he isn’t the greatest trapper in the world and if Poole is going to be the same crap boring track as last season he may find it tough at home Saw it at Ipswich last season when riders got out the gate before him he struggled to get past on a track that doesn’t produce much passing Glasgow and Oxford have stronger top 5’s then Poole but the reserves can make the difference
  8. If they proceed with this lame brained idea of running the Premiership it will be financial suicide for clubs as no one is going to turn up and watch the same teams over and over again. Also get Bradford up and running again so I can go back to the team I once loved.
  9. Huge signing for Poole, bringing Cook back. It pains me to say it, but his performance at Ashfield in the play-off final was a captain’s performance. The resilience to bounce back from being bullied by Howarth in heat seven and passed by Harris in heat fifteen to win it for the Pirates in the race-off was remarkable. Excited for the season ahead. The Championship is shaping up to be competitive.
  10. rushen would be good signing though . no doubt about that
  11. Today
  12. He knew that was always going to happen. I hope he does well.
  13. Yes I would agree, options probably limited, I wouldn't have signed Fraser. No idea who I would have got instead. Lewis did well in the play offs so maybe that tilted the balance in his favour.
  14. will still be unfinished at end of next year then , wont win treble . Not convinced with team bar Lawson and cairn shouldnt of kept kerr
  15. Who are these pilots? Zach will be doing a lot of flying next season.
  16. We failed to win the treble, I think that is what he means.
  17. Woods bikes didn’t look the best handling wise, they did look to have a lot of power. I think it was morris that ended up doing a heat on woods bike and it was very very quick but did look a handful even with morris on it. Maybe a bit lacking in experience when it comes to setup. I think if he can get the handling right he will stay on it more often. I think dayle did a good job this year and I expect him to do well next year. I would have wanted him back at Berwick before smith who just seemed to go backwards this year.
  18. palovara is the risk seemed to tail off a lot at back end of the year . I know he was No1 but it was who he was being beaten byy thats a worry
  19. doubtful, hes never managed it before
  20. Or belle vue could of joined 1 league with bewley or Kurtz (I explained this on the 360 podcast a few weeks ago )and given the fans a new variety of clubs to see and visit but no shortsightedness and possibly greed has prevailed and we get to see the same teams over and over again, it’s just not doing it for me and at £25 a pop I can’t see us bothering to attend very often
  21. Not true... It was never explored, the Championship clubs refused to entertain it...
  22. I also think on a personal level he would have been disappointed with his final average and not being able to hold onto the number 5 race jacket last year.
  23. he would but as you know he chases money and we dont pay massively for riders so i dont think he will fit Marks ethos sadly
