  1. Past hour
  2. LOL, Nicki getting his revenge on Paul Chuckle for benching him in meetings this season.
  3. Edwards is consistently decent around workington. You're guaranteed points with him but what you aren't guaranteed is much passing by him around northside. Nagel on the other hand provides some quality entertainment and guaranteed passing. I personally think you'll get more from Edwards than you would with Nagel but that's just based off experience around Northside.
  4. A six pointer at reserve, quite something, puts the Witches right up there with King’s Lynn 🤣🤣🤣
  5. Easy win for a Tiggers team strengthened by the absence of David Nagel's Scandinavian. We'll be done over Hook, line and sinker. Our collective bunch of third heat leaders will have no answer and will be lucky to score 40. Can't wait...
  6. Whilst we're on a trip down memory lane I feel the need to share this. It's 1977 and Mum and Dad are still together. Saturday nights we'd travel to Lynn from Aylsham via the B1145 as that was the fastest route. I remember getting fish and chips somewhere in Lynn and the owners had a Boxer dog that we used to have slobbery kisses with being Boxer owners. I was 7 and Sunday mornings were spent with me being Michael Lee whist riding up and down Sir Williams Close in Aylsham on my Raleigh Chipper (the Grifter would come later). I had a red plastic p'ss pot helmet, KL race jacket and wellies. I would do 'gardening' at the pretend tapes and lots of practice starts. Good times!
  7. Commentator - Love is in the air after Nicki showed some respect to an opponent for a change lol.
  8. Only went once with my mate and his dad, pretty sure it was 1975. I was blown away (still a school kid at the time) at the size of the crowd, the biggest I ever saw at a speedway meeting. Remember buying a Belle Vue race jacket (body colour) from the track shop, as Peter Collins was my favourite rider then (could only dream of him riding for the Lions). I think PC won the meeting with a 15 point maximum.
  9. Should be a cracking match, can't call it but hoping for a Tigers win
  10. As has been mentioned, my overriding memory of Brandon was that of a very slick track that favoured the Scandinavians. Some good nights there though, I was married to a Leicester lass so always incorporated a visit with one to the in-laws.
  11. The only trouble with fans these days is getting them through the turnstile! (…..and I don’t mean because they are too fat).
  12. Would Allied Vehicles get involved with a club who (according to you) are not going to run Championship next season? Maybe, but, this is a Poole thread, not Workington.
  13. Today
  14. @Gavan always goes on that Jaimon Lidsey can't ride anywhere apart from NSS, yet he has a higher away average then Jason Doyle and only 0.08 below Emil.
  15. I've predicted it as Ipswich 46 Leicester 42 Sheffield 40 Belle Vue 37 So even if Sheffield won this and got an extra 2 points wouldn't be close to Ipswich.
  16. Consistent with past years Berwick (given the modest size of their fanbase) are clearly the biggest dicks in this arena.
  17. If Adam is not fit we have no choice to replace him with a guest if he is at reserve.
  18. Think a narrow aces win.. Sheffield on paper look a lot stronger at reserve and you’d expect Pickering and the Holders to mix it with the BV heat leaders. Zach Cook could be the key rider if he rides well l think it will carry them over the line 47-43
  19. Sounds like if you are right, you look forward to saying "I told you so" but surely you'd love to be proved wrong? The more clubs racing the merrier!
  20. Unfortunate news about Przyjemski's injury in Sweden. This year's Ekstraliga may finally become a bit interesting now.
