There was no easy way to decide this apart from a replay and there isn't time for that now . But they way they have decided it is probably fair enough , good luck to Redcar in the final and I'm glad everyone injured are now back home .
-
Hopefully the Championship gets its act together next year if it still exists as a second division, the fixtures have been a shambles for more than one season now. Redcar going through reminds me of England winning the cricket World Cup in 2019 by virtue of more boundaries.
-
I think its the most 50/50 playoff final yet. Hard to work out what sort of score line you would think is a good result for Glasgow, as Redcar kept it to 6 which wasn't enough and Sheffield only had a 3 point lead against Leicester and that was nearly enough! Also Glasgow nearly held onto their two point lead at Redcar. Before the playoff SFs I would have said Glasgow are a step ahead of us but with Poole's performances at Redcar and at Poole in KOC it is too close to predict imo.

Fixed for Poole to win, getting boring.

I’m surprised it’s a total of heat advantages that count and not higher heat advantages first. Glasgow had one 5-1 over 19 races, and for me they should have qualified on that race alone. The fact Redcar had more 4-2 wins seems a strange yardstick to go by. Rules are Rules though and maybe need tweaking. Good for us at Redcar but feel Glasgow were hard done by this.

Ace was pushed into the fence by Tobias Thompson who was excluded.

It all comes down to the league final now for the Tigers. It was a diddy cup anyway. praying for rain offs this week.
-
Crazy isn't it that all these repeat fixtures happen at the end of the season, BSN should have been done and dusted at the end of spring, the KO Cup mid Summer and Pay Offs now.
-
Generally I would say racing this season has been close but passing may have been reduced due a lack of track moisture during the very dry weather. Yeah costs are not commensurate with money taken at the gate. Reports of riders not being paid and some clubs running 6 figure deficits isn't viable long term.

Yes read that • Redcar scored 8 x 4-2s (4 in the 1st leg, and four in the 2nd leg) • Glasgow scored 1 x 5-1 and 6 x 4-2s (a 5-1 and 3 x 4-2s in the 1st leg, and 3 x 4-2s in the 2nd leg) Therefore over the two legs, Redcar had one extra heat advantage and will qualify for the 2025 BSN Series Final.
-
Yes he is fine

Good to see you didn't rock the boat about Cradley on the podcast 🫠.
-
Yes, and I suspect his attempts at sabotage won't just be aimed at Cradley, but other clubs around the UK as well
-
Could I ask if Jake Allen was ok after his fall? He seems to have been forgotten in all of this.

Redcar have been awarded the win of the abandoned Glasgow meeting because they had more heat advantages over the two legs. In the rules as the BSPA statement explains. Nowt against Glasgow, glad Redcar “won” though.

What about Northampton?

Are you sure Oxford aren't running in the top league in 2026? Spires, no... but Cheetahs? -
Great news that nobody is seriously injured. I hope they're all back at a track very soon. Equally good news for BSN subscribers, feels like it's ages since Redcar v Poole has been on.

Another trophy gone. You could argue misfortune with the tie being decided in the boardroom, but the decision was based on what happened on the track. Between this and the disappointment of flopping at home to a depleted Poole side without their talisman (Lawson) and Kerr after one ride, it’s bitterly frustrating. The top heavy team building hasn’t worked and our gating has been atrocious. The season could still be a success, of course, with the Play-Off final this week, but worth reflecting after crashing out of the KO Cup and BSN Series, despite being favourites.
-
The real winners are the injured but now ok fans and the medics and volunteers. Very difficult scenario and well done to both sides.

Fantastic news that there were no serious injuries.
