Super Heat - Why its not right!!
SPEEDY69 replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
But the new people we need to get to attend wouldn't care less about points or what each team has as they may only come a few times a year and are not as invested in the results as diehard fans are, they just want to enjoy the event. -
It very much depends on which way the wind is blowing
-
Yes equivalent to 300 paying punters
-
Just 0.09 between Adam and Dan in the rolling averages If desired it is very much in the clubs hands to choose who is at reserve for September They would (or should) know what scores will be dropping out of the 20 meeting sample for each rider and therefore the swing required in the upcoming matches for a switch to happen We know it is done - Leicester did exactly that to keep RR for Becker in the 2nd position therefore allowing Fricke to still take an extra ride

Home win 2pts, draw 1pt. Away win 3pts, draw 2pts. No aggregate pts, no silly super heats, and a lge table that people can understand... - Today

Leicester Lions 2025
szkocjasid replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Surely once he makes a comeback abroad & didn't return to Leicester, he'd get a 28 day ban for "witholding his services" then what happens after that ends, Leicester wouldn't be able to carry on using r/r? Previous examples have been the rider must return or be replaced, although that would be after the cut-off date. They'd probably only be left with 75% guests if he didn't return? -
I did,but thought you might get mine😂.Thats speedway these days ride when it suits.

Ipswich Witches vs Oxford Spires Thursday 7th August
tocha replied to ShanoXtra's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Should be a comfortable win for the Witches but closer than their first encounter. Live on BSN. -
Now and again! I take it you didn’t get my attempt at irony???

A Polish rider, or a rider from Poland? Thinking James Pearson if it’s a rider from Poland. 🤷♂️if it’s a Polish rider 🙈

oxford v redcar

5 Oxford appearances since 30/04. How does it keep happening, and what is the point in him even being there? -
Really crucial few days for Bears play-off aspirations, six points to defend tonight and then six points to make up on Friday.I think the bare minimum we need is at least the bonus which will give us 4 points over the two matches, don’t think Bears can allow Oxford to take all the points tonight if they want to keep their hopes alive.Who’s this Mulford guy?

knudsen might not as well been signed by oxford tbh.

Morning Kevin & Jan, all aboard the Pirate Ship!

Numbers wise it seems closer to the current Leicester team, though that does have a big hitter in Fricke, somebody capable of winning heats 13 & 15 and generally beating the opposing teams number 1, that's all Lynn are short of really. The legacy teams in the PL Ippo, Sheffield, BV have all managed to build with some astute signings, of the 3 newcomers only Leicester have really managed to compete thanks to the signing of Fricke. For Lynn, since Lambert left they've made some poor signings in Laguta & Musielak (tbf who knew that Musielak would do what he did) as number 1's... and don't really have one this season.

Won't be a top league sadly

Birmingham v Sheffield Mon 4th August PL2

Over the years found him to be insulting & jokes stuck in the 70’s but each to their own. -
The superheat is a sort of creeping americanisation of sport in that they simply don't like or do 'ties' - the trouble is they do provide drama and a sudden death jeopardy which the fans at the tracks seem to enjoy. I have seem one and the roar at the end at Foxhall when they secured the superheat v's Peterborough a couple of years back was huge. The problem is everyone wants their promoters and and the sport to innovate and move foward and appeal to the non diehards - there are always so many threads dedicated to what can be done to 'save' speedway and here is an innovation that certainly seems to be well received on the terraces, rather liike the playoffs and everyone seems dead against it on here. In football terms i always felt a well ground out away point was often a great reward, draws in speedway and other sports don't actually happen too often - personally i wouldnt have introduced it but i can see and understand why they have.

Yeah but do you know how much they pay in rent?

Poole v Plymouth Championship
LisaColette replied to Arthur54's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Don't worry, the top league will no longer be there way before Poole even think about moving back up.
