Berwick will be looking to get back to winning ways at Shielfield, after only taking 1pt from thie rlast 2 home meetings. With losing 50-40 at Scunny tonight is a good chance to get our 2nd bonus point of the season, following last night's at Redcar last night. Scunny have riders who have performed well at Berwick in the past so another close meeting beckons. Again this meeting could come down to the battle of the reserves, with Lambert at Number 7 who admits to liking Berwicks track being a danger. My predictions have been way off most of this season but i will go for a Bandits home win 51-39 Bandits: Nick Morris, Sam Hagon, Jonas Jeppesen, Drew Kemp, Peter Kildemand, Dayle Wood, Jack Smith Scorpions: Steve Worrall, Jake Allen, Luke Harrison, Zaine Kennedy, Connor Mountain, Declan Kennedy, Simon Lambert

While speedway does have a major enemy in planners and ultimately money it also is its own enemy, you can’t even get them to answer the phone or return emails when you need information to take to these planners

Pretty stiff breeze this morning from the south west although it is due lessen into the evening. The back straight is more sheltered with the wind from this direction as there are pine trees surrounding . Any dust will affect starting gate side, any early evening sunshine will mainly be on this side also as well as bends 1&2. I was reading that there will be a fly by along the coast by the Red Arrows who will be on their way from Blackpool to Edinburgh Tattoo around 6-30pm which will be better seen from starting gate side. Don't blame me if they don't materialise though 🤣, hope its a great meeting . -

I'm surprised that Ben Barker is ridding so soon after dislocating his shoulder, hard to see how he can be on top form, we'll see. By my quick calculation Poole are now confirmed in the play offs. But would be great to see them push on tonight, it should be a tight match up, so probably a matter of who wants the result most.

love cash only its the way to go.🤣 -
Lovely trip up to Glasgow as always. One of my favourite tracks and facilities. I was expecting a battering but was left pleasantly surprised. Some fantastic racing throughout. Vinnie foord has fantastic after his first heat loss and heat 13 when troy beat the unbeatable was phenomenal. Troy has improved these last two few meetings and im chuffed for him tbh. I was in the grand stand surrounded by Glasgow Fans but every one of them seemed decent. Being in the grand stand gave me a beautiful view of the finishing line and I am 100% confident that Jye beat flint to the line but it is what it is.

We have the same with Luke Harrison, young riders just learning their trade. They have good rides as a reserve and get bumped up into the main body of the team and struggle . It happens far to often and the newcomers need some sort of protection at this level. -

Surely you have to include Dayle Wood in that remark? Hagon is still young and learning. Being at #2 can't be helping, as he comes up against the oppositions #1 in his first ride and (probably) a much stronger #2 opponent. Jack Smith has been around for quite some time now and clearly isn't getting any better, but clubs still insist on giving him "another" chance. Arguably the same could be said about Dayle Wood (new over here, but has been riding for quite a while) and has maybe reached the standard he will achieve? -

But would Hagon have gone to reserve? Surely it would be Trigger & Wood at reserve, Hagon stays in top 5 🤷♂️ -
