No one predicted Peterborough to win it a few seasons ago, it only takes a few injuries to other teams (not that I want any riders to get injured)

That’s a random prediction. Given only 2nd and 3rd will be in the play off knock out semi final. -

While I agree with your general point, I'd be interested to know what has made the biggest difference. Is it all of the additional fitness, psychology, etc., etc. or is it just the fact we now have 2 genuinely world class riders in an era where the top competition is a pairs one? Maybe the 2 go hand in hand, and Lambert and Bewley are where they are because of all the extras, but I think they'd probably be there regardless. We've won 2 SoN titles since its inception (one which was a bit fortuitous). It's an improvement on the past but it's about what you'd expect with the riders we have. -
I can see a top 5 finish for the Witches.... Unless Northampton make a late entry.

It's one of those teams that everyone has to be on it for it to win, and as we know from past experiences,, that doesn't happen as often as would like.. I see it winning 75 percent of home meetings and zero away, which to me means 5th, poss 4th at a push. Sorry for being negative towards this team, but that's just the way I see it What interests me the most is if there is going to be a new track man,, and how they prepare the track

Laughably, we have seen the comments from some riders, who DU, that if they couldn't, they would have to retire... What happens come the inevitable day when they do retire, or heaven forbid, get career ending injuries... I presume the sport in the UK must cease to exist at that very moment, given the desperation, and panic, in trying to run a top tier with enough spaces to allow riders to DU... And still hardly any of the top two leagues' teams are doing anything to make a surplus of UK talent to meet the demand needed over the next decade, as "two job riders" leave the sport.. You can only presume that this is due to most tracks being quite content with their lot, and a major part of this being that sharing rider costs with another team works perfectly for both of them.... For now... -
Solid looking team all things considered, potential for average improvement in Brennan Musielak and hellstrom, if he drops to reserve Scotty will continue pick off easy points, Lawson and king will be solid and Edwards a good rising star

I remember, quite vividly, watching Philip around the NSS in 2021. This was in the 2 day SON final when because of two early injuries and Covid travel restrictions he was left as Sweden's only rider there. As a clear underdog the crowd took him to their hearts and he played to it. He actually rode very well, scoring 26 from 11 rides with every ride being a win or 2nd. He rounded off the end of the second day with a visit to the track on foot to thank the crowd for their support. A real showman. From what I know of the team spirit at Ipswich, he'll fit right in. [edit] I was forgetting the 4320 scoring system. Philip's every ride were 2nds or 3rds

Hard to see anyone beating BV in the prem? Kurtsy and Bewley top two will deliver.

Didn't they both have bad smashes in 2025 I think as you get older those kind of things catch up with you more than if your in your teens or twenties.

Championship Predictions 2026
Tapewrecker replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
He should be along with the big boys this year with progression -
Good to have the clarity re the team etc, so the Witches have gone strength in depth this time - will enjoy it anyway - nice to see Tobi finally a Witch about 2-3 seasons after he asked for a team spot! He should be good to watch at Foxhall! Awesome Richard Lawson will be a solid and reliable rider too. I always said Scotty would come back to finish his career as a Witch!
