There was a good size crowd in Pardubice, but I sense this was only because it was part of the Golden Helmet weekend. This is a different format & it will take time for regular speedway followers to adjust. The big issue is the racers are unknown to speedway & come from the lower end of their own discipline. But the sport of Flat Track is growing.

The rule book states nothing of the sort. The part about the inner edge of the white line being the infield is your own interprestation. I never said Wikipedia was accurate. I said that I'm not the only one who thinks it - as Wikipedia is not necessarily proof. I chose my wording deliberately with that in mind. I've watched the video now. It's been posted on this thread. It changes nothing. This post states it clearly. In case you need a link, here it is. SGP - FIM Speedway - Rules If a rider crosses the white inside line fully with both wheels or leaves the circuit, they are adjudged to have retired from the race – unless they left the track to take essential avoiding action (e.g. to avoid a fallen rider). Or are you all going to say that FIM rules are different? In which case, I give up!! Now, who's got a link to the cheating Pirates and their tyre warming?

I hope, before they closed his coffin, they stuffed his mouth with garlic and drove a stake through his heart (or where his heart should have been). Anyway, if the grieving bride-of-Dracula, Mrs O, is liquidating things, is this the time for the BSPL to get together and buy Swindon stadium?

Glasgow Tigers 2027
Bagpuss replied to TheWellBehavedWorrall's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Flint's rolling away average is 8.00 and was only bettered by six riders who did the whole 2026 season. I'd also argue that he still has improvement in him too. -

Whilst some of the racing in 2026 was fantastic to watch the season was a dreadful one for the Tigers. Ashton Vale ended up on a bigger average (4.00) in last night's meeting than 'Super' Mario Hausl managed all season (3.79). Sam Hagon looked like an NDL rider at times and Freddy Hodder showed flashes but everyone said that about him last season as well. His average looks enticing enough to give him another year in the job though but i can't see KJP staying as his average is tricky to squeeze in if the management decide to go with 3 heat leaders again. He's also in his mid 20s so he's unlikely to kick on anymore. Leon Flint impresses at home but is often found lacking away so he may be shown the door. Cami Brown wasn't really at fault for the poor season but he wasn't exactly the Pep Guardiola of the Championship either. The club itself could look at trying to arrange home fixtures a bit better next season as this year almost 7 weeks went by without a home meeting during the height of the summer. Hot days are generally when the fans come out in large numbers. Just a thought. And on that thought here's my thoughts on what a strong 2027 team might look like, providing all the riders can be enticed to Ashfield: 1 Chris Harris 2 Victor Palovaara/KJP 3 Anders Rowe 4 Jody Scott 5 Dan Thompson 6 Freddy Hodder 7 ??? *it all comes to a fraction under 38 points leaving a fraction over 2 for an NDL rider. -

I've not been to Armadale for a few years now, but the only music I remember from previous visits was 'The Black Bear' 😁 Was the music played last night more 'appropriate' for a sporting occasion than that at Ashfield? Was the atmosphere better? -

Not on a near 6-point average he wouldn't. -
A strong team for 2027 might look like this: 1 Kye Thomson 2 Paco Castagna 3 Jody Scott 4 Victor Palovaara 5 Anders Rowe 6 ? ? ? 7 Jordy Loftus It would come to less that 36.00 so still over 4 points to play with for the last rider. I think Jody Scott is going to be a really good rider next season and he races around Ashfield like he's stolen his bike. Anders isn't too bad around there either. Convincing them both to rock up at Armadale would be a tall order though.

British Youth Championship 2027- Time for change

BRITISH YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP - 2027 - Speedway Control Bureau -
Can’t believe this is still a topic. With all the evidence we’ve seen the ref could not be certain Zach has crossed the line, there’s no picture from the right angle that shows both tires definitively off the track. Yes Will should’ve been excluded in the first leg, but then if we are playing that game then I’ll argue that Ingram should’ve been excluded for riding through Lightcap and causing him to either have a dangerous crash or to shut off/ get out the way completely. This is comfortably the worst season of refereeing, feels like in at least every other meeting there’s a decision made that is simply wrong.

The reality is that because the regulations do not define crossing, then your interpretation is no more valid than anyone elses. Using your interpretation then surely the part of the wheel closest to the engine 'crossed' the line first, but obviously didn't touch the line. As the reg doesn't mention touching, then it could mean any part or all. As is often the case, the speedway regulation is open to interpretation and needs to be re-written

I feel a loyalty to the riders we have but I do wonder if its time for a big shake up. Sometimes it feels a bit samey, not a good description but you get my drift

There was me thinking we had a speedway rulebook, rather than AI, Google or Wikipedia (none of which are known for their accuracy). If you don't want to listen to me, fair enough. But I suggest that you do listen to David Howe - a former rider and current team manager - who might understand a bit more about track limits and when and where they are exceeded. And just to clarify, since I realise you haven't even bothered to watch the video, the screenshot on the Scunny website shows the clearest image. The back wheel goes further onto the centre green in the following frames, but they're not as clean an image. I really would recommend watching the slo-mo video from the rear angle instead. It's on BSN, when they are interviewing Josh Pickering. I would also recommend watching Heat 8 from the first leg and the blatant tyre warming. Without that, the tie would have never gone to a Super Heat in the first place.

Wild Cards for 2027

It would also have made sense with there being a strong likelihood of at least one rider not making it to Adelaide -
also from google.... The Speedway Control Bureau (SCB) Regulations define the "white line" itself as the official boundary of the infield. [1] The rule book phrases it with strict technical phrasing under two specific rules that work together: The Infield Line Definition (Rule 05.1.4a): It states there must be "a continuous line to define the inner edge of the track circuit." The SCB formally interprets this white painted line as being part of the infield itself, meaning the precise "inner edge" of the racing track is exactly where the dirt track meets the outer edge of the white paint. [1] The Point of Disqualification (Rule 012.1.11): Because the white line counts as the infield, the regulations do not require a tyre to cross 100% over the line to be in breach. The rule strictly penalizes "a rider whose machine crosses the inner edge of the track with 2 wheels." [1, 2] In practice during a referee review, if any part of the tyre tread simply touches the painted surface of the white line, that wheel is legally deemed to have left the track. If both tyres touch or cross onto that white paint during a corner, it triggers an immediate red light disqualification, unless the safety or crowding exemptions apply. [1, 2]
