Can’t see that side bringing the punters in. Hasn’t Lawson already said he is staying at Poole?

There are still rumours of a six team top league given nobody in the championship wants to commit financial suicide by moving up is there a likelyhood someone with money to burn is going to take on Northampton ?
-
Thing is reading between the lines it looked like the plan was Bewley to Ipswich and Belle Vue retaining Kurtz in 2026 if Belle Vue end up retaining Dan it could leave Ippo having to attempt at some kind of strength in depth approach whatever that may look like.

Premier League and most Championship footy teams are established businesses - not sports clubs in your old-fashioned sense. Even League 2 Colchester United is up for sale as a business, with actual assets.

Passion is controllable, that is just brattish behaviour.

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
Phannan replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
My excitement for the 26 season is starting to return. Sheffield, the team with the amazing track and fair minded fans is confirmed so that makes 4 and now I see Bomber is confirmed too. And Strictly finishes tonight. Happy days … -
"The Silence of the Aussie Wasp' is deafening!

It's called passion, and speedway would be all the poorer if we didn't have characters who possess a bit.

Better get a new friend. He tells you lies

With respect it doesn’t mean that at all, they may have just signed a rider on the same/similar average to Jacob that they believe is better value/has more scope for improvement?
-
The worst thing he did for me, was throwing his crash helmet. Stupid thing to do, when you're relying on it to possibly save your life. I've never understood riders who do this.
-
Exactly what people are missing here, most Australians have family here with them, kids in school etc and they need a English visa so have to work here, apparently visa is not easy to get in Poland and school would not be English I imagine for the kids!
-
I think, as an Australian, he’s allowed up to 180 days in UK without a visa. He would, of course, need a work visa if he was riding in UK
-
Cheers, I am certainly confused, some responses were as if I said Joe Thompson would be a 9.5 rider, rather than Dan! Completely understand people disagreeing, but laughing - not so much. As for the SWC, he'll definitely be in the squad, can't be far away from the team?
-
Doesn’t he have to factor in he needs a visa to live here? he has a house in Warrington with his girlfriend/wife, so would of said until he gets citizenship he has no choice but to ride here

Pinny is never right!

Pinny was right.

Sweden and Denmark were more his reference I would think.. And, looking at the Danish league next season it does look like they are trying to make a play for 2027 to see if they can attract those riders that have only one league to ride in, outside Poland, come the time....
-
While not ideal to lose such a great rider, as long as Belle Vue had Bewley, may help them build a team under the 37 limit without their 2 superstars?
-
well maybe a hundred or so.....!😂
-
I might understand that more of Doyle was still a 9+ rider, but now he dropped below 8, feel this could be a good level for him to get back to winning ways? Also does dropping down a league in Poland count as racing the top boys?
-
What about a Premiership rider on a converted average?
