Yep he's probably England's best ever rider but i'm another who wish he would give it up and move onto something new he's no longer the force he was which is to be expected , but these riders have incredible grit as Woffy shows. Chris Holder is another example should have probably had 2-3 world titles but two terrible crashes and what happened to Darcy pulled him back from the absolute top level. and like Tai in the UK he can be 60% of the rider he was at his best and still beat 90% of the opposition in his sleep.

Belle Vue ran yesterday in 31 degree heat, starting at 12 noon. The track was being watered when we arrived and had clearly been well watered before (probably the previous day as well). They watered every 4 heats, and were often doing a lap giving it a good top-up sprinkling after each 2 heats. The track was perfect, and the meeting was over in 2 hours despite a break when the medics had to tend to Luke Killeen. I know Buxton isn't Belle Vue's level, but with a Sunday/Monday Buxton/Belle Vue option again, I know which one I'd attend in future, and which I wouldn't rush back to.

Do you really think this is the place to post such things ? Yes I'm aware of a post on social media, but surely that's up to Craig and Facebook, not you putting it out on here 🤔

I'm actually really happy we have a team. In reality we were never going to Emil and Jason in the same team. It's still a competitive team in my eyes and we've won 5 out of 7. I accept that we should not accept mediocrity, and certainly in the early 2000s we had some poor sides at Ipswich. However, the sport must come first and we go back to basics. The sports current administrators are playing the violins on the deck as the water level is rising and it simply cannot continue. When some of my fellow Ipswich supporters moan, just think of those who no longer have a team or track.

I think it was Dean who summed everything up perfectly a few weeks back... "It just feels like everyone is just going through the motions"... Hence we have the same old, same old, each season, without any desire to change anything for the better.. It seems some Ipswich fans have gone from the joy of victory, to apathy in just a few short months.. Not great for a sport to engender such feelings is it?

Unfortunately British Speedway is bit like the Doctor is administering morphine to the patient but he can't get the dose right At some point he'll overload the syringe and speedway in Britain is a goner!

Brennan has been dropped from the match day team but still in the squad as they have too many “players”, similar thing happened at Rybnik last year. Brennan is getting £2,000 a match to be sidelined though!
-
Brennan did the first 3 rounds. Now it's Loktaev. For how long will probably depend on his scoring

Facebook springs to mind .. -
It’s also probably just the sport in general now. Belle Vue having 3 guests the other day. It’s farcical. It just feels like everyone is biding time now.

What's going on with Tom at Bydgoszcz?

where else his he going to find pretend friends.😂 -
He’s like that geezer on Netflix who climbed that tower in Taiwan or somewhere and also El Capitan in the US , without ropes or any safety equipment. Just bare handed. He has a condition that doesn’t recognise fear so isn’t scared of any consequences. Woffy probably has the same. Different breed these speedway riders . Other than the odd climber of course.

What I seen wasn’t a best guess, not starting rumours I’m only saying what was out there. Im not trying to bag him, far from it. I sympathise with anyone having a bad time with mental health as I’ve been there myself. I genuinely hope that he is doing okay, he’s had his past struggles, that have been documented by himself, I just hope he’s got a solid support system around him and knows that anyone with a heart will listen to and help him the best they can.

Foxhall to me feels completely flat. I’ll go to the home matches and keep an eye on the away meetings but it doesn’t exactly excite me anymore to see what we can do. The heart of it has been ripped out and feels like a make shift team. People will naturally speak on Doyle and Emil but I actually am also disappointed that Dan left, I enjoyed watching him progress. Lawson & PHB don’t really excite me enough to get into their races, Scotty is just filling in for a season it feels like just for a farewell (although he has done brilliant for us in the past so I can’t knock him). Brennan has a bright future but will get frustrated when he can’t beat the other out and out number ones of other teams so I hope it doesn’t deflate him, especially with what is going on with him at Bydgoszcz. King and Edwards always try hard and were previous witches so no problem with that. And I like watching Tobi to be fear. Just doesn’t seem like “my” Witches.

How is having diagnosed conditions self inflicted? Honestly the older generation on here are nothing but ….. I’ll leave you to fill in the blank but people like you are part of the problem as to why there is such a mental health crisis today. Cookie has his struggles and he has opened up on these in the past. But yet there’s still people like you who come with the old wise crack “ never existed in my day.” Well sorry to break it to you, times change. You unempathetic …..

We attended Buxton on Sunday and I think it will be a while before we return, there was fallers in every race I think which I believe was more down to the track many times not the riders. The track was like concrete with dust and stones on the top on the bends so to the riders it must have felt like sliding on marbles. It was so hard that the tractor grading it was picking up next to nothing and kicking up just as much dust as the riders during the races. I know it was a hot day so why was the track not watered well before the meeting to get it to seep into the track? The truck / bowser was ineffective to say the least, and why did the referee allow the truck to fill up with water on the centre green while the racing was going on I thought all tractors etc had to be removed back to the pits during races? We stuck it out for the 15 heats and then left and while I know its National league racing it was far from a good advert for the sport.

Any chance of luring Luke Becker
