Disappointing to see no victory parade for the Stars, very nice of the KL riders to come out and talk to us all after the meeting! -

I criticised it at the time, but just saw BSN’s highlight of it on social media and Staechmann is spot on; he makes a mistake, looks at Harrison and turns left coming off the fourth bend. A shocking move. Hate this part of modern day speedway; young riders are all over the place. Killeen is the same and cost Dan Thompson a large portion of last season because he couldn’t control his bike. The British U21 final ending with three of finalists crashing as they crossed the line sums it up for me. Best wishes and regards to Harrison and Scott because through no fault of their own, they needed medical attention and their evening was over. It’s such a dangerous sport as it is. Things like this are so unnecessary. -
Friday 8th May 2026: Edinburgh Monarchs v Workington Comets, Cab Direct Championship, Armadale Stadium, 7:30pm EDINBURGH ROSS ECO TECHNOLOGIES MONARCHS: Nick Morris (guest), Jonatan Grahn, Justin Sedgmen, Paco Castagna (captain), Kye Thomson, Mitch Cluff, Jordy Loftus. WORKINGTON GT TYRES COMETS: Jonas Jeppesen, Niklas Holm Jakobsen, Craig Cook R/R, Tate Zischke, Troy Batchelor (captain), Darryl Ritchings (guest), Ryan Ingram (guest). Will Dan Thompson's injury take the edge off the delight in qualifying for the BSN series semis at Glasgow? Nick Morris comes in to guest. Comets run R/R for Cookie and have two guests at reserve - Darryl Ritchings and Ryan Ingram. Will Monarchs' reserve pairing continue their improvement and get a heat advantage in Heat 2? I predict an 8 - 10 point win for Edinburgh as long as Kye's not too tired after his paid 19 from 7 rides at Northampton. What a start to the season he's had!

Just back. Very decent set up, track needs a bit of work, bit narrow on entrance and exit of the corners but they could extend it on to the infield in time There's an outside line on 1 and 2 if you get it right as Bomber did in one heat, nothing on 3rd and 4th though, reminded me of Foxhall The team however is very Birmingham notwithstanding injuries to Niels and Zagar, if they can't get Lidsey, Klindt and Batchelor going it's hard to see who they might beat. Kye Thomson showing them the way, absolutely brilliant performance but he won't score that every week
-
He's hardly "picking & choosing" his meetings, as he's not ridden since his injury.
-
Was an interesting match. KT has started the season very well. Rushen’s move was horrible, do that to the wrong person and he will get hurt either on or off track. Lidsey looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there. Batch and Klindt are passengers that wake up every now and again. Half decent performance from any of the aforementioned 3 and Foxes win.

King fenced C Holder that’s what I saw of it. Bizarre decision from the ref not to exclude anyone as it was exiting the 2nd bend.

The Holders whinging - I can't believe that for a second Never before have I known a more chilled pair that simply smile and get on with it than them You must be mistaken -
Luke withdrawn at Northampton tonight. Not sure if its concussion and 7 day compulsory lay off? Can Lambo cover him?

Luke Harrison withdrawn at Northampton tonight, concussion ,7 day automatic rest? -
I'd normally agree, but only the 2nd match and some leeway for teething probs needs to be given. Can't speak for Ipswich.
-
Well I have been to two prem matches this season Northamptons first and Ipswich BHM and they both started at least 30 minutes after the official start time, frankly it’s a mess and unfortunately it happens more often than not.
-
Not sure what happened in the first running of heat 15, but the Holder brothers were not happy with Tobi. How Chris is ok, arguably our best rider this season so far. Hats off to Killeen - not sure what changes he made to his bike but he was very impressive for his last few rides. Same with Flint and Rowe, they all seemed to turn it around as the night went on

Morris guesting tomorrow at Armadale another worry🤔 -
Regarding the late start. I believe they ran out of car park spaces and had to divert people somewhere else. As such and I was already in the stadium, I think they were right to delay the start. Not ideal, but not right to penalise folk going to the match so that TV starts on time.

Why are they now not giving any riders a couple laps after the start parade as they now put riders round the dog track ? -
Just back from the match and nice enough set up at Northampton. Batchelor wasn't interested in the least and how the hell did Klindt get 18 last night. Lidsey is not a number 1. Kye Thomson 18+1 was brilliant. Cooper Rushen is some talent going forward. I was just behind the starting gate and it seemed like the track is a bit narrow off the 2nd and 4th bends? Maybe I'm wrong. Good crowd though and enjoyed it. The crash happened right in front of me, but couldn't see what happened due to the safety fence.
-
I thought he was offered a team place originally but turned it down?
-
They said on BSN he didn't watch it when he made his decision as replay wasnt available when riders still hurt on the track.
-
Looked a nasty one. Especially for Luke, speedy recovery for both. would be surprised if Jody rides tomorrow. Guest wise they’ll struggle to match his scoring potential, but plenty of options
