why not Berwick?
-
Ha, not sure you were being intentionally funny. BSN has provided me the ability to watch meetings I would never have attended, different teams from across the UK and keep my interest in the sport up. Football is on TV all the time and stadiums are not empty. Fans will watch a game from a foreign league, because it's football and it creates talking points. As long as the hosting club is getting a share then it makes great sense to me. What should be on offer though is even more for those attending in person - the analysis, interviews, stats provision etc. otherwise it does sometimes feel like you're more involved if you're not there. You get pits views, reaction interviews, stats on performance etc. which the attendee does not, and they've paid more for it!

Maybe Berwick and Workington are not being considered for the big league". Given that there is an insufficient number of riders for all existing Champ & Prem teams to run even 5 man lineups without doubling up it is more than probable that a "big league! will still have a limited number of teams and two divisions. But maybe only two - no NDL?

Oxford vs Poole 17/9/25 BSN SF 2nd leg.

Did comics finish in any competition playoffs. Think they could do with a flat white each. -
Maybe need some grading? Eg If you cannot get an 'A' grade you get 2 x 'B's'.. With a mean average so no team can get the best rider in every grade? Scrap the RS system as, even in a five rider team, the No5 rider will be pretty much "development" level I would think... There will need to be lots of "greater good" compromise I would suggest for it to work...

Obviously the sun has frazzled his bonsai tree! -
Well... you don't exclude GP riders for no reason, you set a realistic points limit that makes it affordable for all. That's the theory anyway.

Lol at the masters comment! -
If they are going with one big league it has to be without GP riders or the teams that are top four now will still be top four how can Berwick and Workington for instance afford GP riders will teams be able to choose their preferred race day, because if not you will have a small top league and a much larger bottom league

Now now don't be getting too excited, still got to win on aggregate, and you couldn't do that against the comets 🙃 enjoy your flat white, while I enjoy a 🍺 in ibiza -
Has it - I thought they were separate, and distinct legal entities.

Harris is a great rider and servant to British speedway. I was there with 40,000 other when Bomber won the 2007 Cardiff GP. What a ride! He has been great and rarely injured. He was talking about retiring several years ago. Glad he didn’t. Needs a huge testimonial meeting when he does hang up his Kevlars.

A chance to do the radical reset that should have taken place post Covid... Let's hope they have learned from the mistakes they made the last time they made "one big league", and every team gets to be competitive this time...

Here he is the Poole legend! Along with Shovvy of course! -
Glad Oxford are putting there club first. This and the sad departure of Birmingham closing has forced the BSPAs hand. One major League is a gamble but it's a necessary change, because what we have now isn't working. I hope something is sorted that benefits all supporters and the clubs financial futures..

Having all 3 teams "viable" must have been a huge challenge, and would, no doubt, impact who they could bring in for the top tier team.. Especially given the very few "top riders" willing to ride over here at an "affordable price"...
-
Oxford can't enter the Premiership. There isn't going to be one! Forthcoming change of league structure means Spires are not running.

Well it worked last season, just not this season. While the novelty factor was always going to wear off, I honestly think Oxford should have a good look at how they went about it. Poor team building, shocking team management and getting trounced every week are not a good recipe for success. Most Oxford fans I spoke to actually enjoyed the weekly speedway, but their enthusiasm waned as the season progressed for the reasons mentioned above.

With or without riders doubling up being allowed?
