  2. The only way Tai ends up at SGP events IMO will be to DJ 😆
  3. If Harry and Mayfield could get some big sponsors into the sport and sort out some really good financial deals it could make a difference (big if though). If you are getting double the money from sponsors etc to be in the prem vs the champ then it would make teams think. Or you could then introduce promotion and relegation, which IMO would move the sport forward, money makes everyone change their mind. Attendance at Ekstraliga is average of what about 10,000 - 12,000 ish each match… costing about £10-£12 a ticket. You would need 5,000-6,000 to start packing out British stadiums at £24 a ticket which they are now to be equal, get TV and Sponsers and really bang in promotion, then and only then could you try to offer big money like they do in Poland and make riders choose Britain over Poland, it’s all about money, Aussies would chose Britain all day because they live here and would drop Poland, the problem is the whole set up with infrastructure etc I know, but getting a few to choose Britain over Poland could then make TV run Friday night and Sunday night which would work better for fans. It’s either that or wait until riders are scared to go to Poland due to Russia and Ukraine 😂 I don’t know what would come first haha
  4. Maybe they will give Tai one as his last "throw of the dice " for him on the world stage to get closure at least at GP level !
  5. I think your right the push will be to get a couple of teams probably Poole and Glasgow to move up to the premiership and a couple of teams who are racing in NDL to move up to the championship. I fear that this will dilute the championship and make it less attractive to the casual supporter.

  8. Redcar were excellent i must say I thought Glasgow were lucky to win imo. Ace Pijper has really come on from last year not just at Redcar. Charles Wright looked classy and continued his best season form as usual when it matters. Flint, Nagel were box office, not sure what happened to Bomber in Heat One? 13 and 15 he was in his own postcode will require more of that up against Poole on Tuesday. Always a good night at Ashfield though!
  9. Well done to Redcar great result which with Nagel in the team I didnt see coming, there is hope for us all! Roll on Tuesday.
  10. And live on tv he passed Kemp on the inside without hitting his left foot with the dirt deflector like Fricke did to him in ht 1. Also Kyle did in the first running of ht 14 what Rowe did in the 2nd running, Kyle should have been out or Rowe should be back in for consistency. Both went wide and collected riders on the outside of them.
  11. Great stuff from Redcar tonight - I did say not to underestimate them! Heats 14/15 were sublime. Nice to Ace scoring well, Jody's coming along nicely, and Tate had a fine win in his second ride. Glasgow didn't quite fully fire, and Redcar's team are hard to beat once ahead. No complaints, and it's still possible to win at Redcar in 2052 when the second leg finally comes round. It was a mistake to give Redcar choice of gates in heat one though - starting the meeting giving Charles Wright the inside gate really set the tone in the opening heats. We were constantly chasing and we made hard work of it. Still, it's a win. "Only" need a draw now. On to next Friday.
  12. We do know and understand this is a development league and Harry Fletcher was a revelation, absolutely rode his socks off. Was a pleasure to see him progressing well, but took a nasty tumble and wish him well and a speedy recovery. On the other hand when a guest turns up and rides around for 4 laps each race not even trying it makes a mockery of what is the league is for.
  13. Is this the Mayfield Sports Limited registered in Bury. Accounts overdue First accounts made up to 31 December 2024 due by 11 September 2025
  14. Absolutely, dilute the product further, the fans will definitely go for it. What next, monthly meetings, three lap races, the 13 heat formula! #FFS
  15. Just realised Redcar are still in the hunt for the quadruple. When was the last team to win four trophies in one season?
  16. Max Fricke has developed a more ruthless approach this season, for Leicester (and I'm not referring to the heat 1 exclusion, that was a standard Sheffield bend 3 move!). He's now up with the best, and that gives his team a huge confidence boost to have a consistently dominant no.1. It's what he was badly lacking last season, and if there's a wet track in the final he'll hopefully show that he's got that monkey off his back
  17. Except his average is lower that Cairns. So Cairns would have to start in the main body, which i don't thing The Fords would want. There dream reserve pairing will be Cairns and Rushen.
  18. That was a fantastic meeting, Kyle unlucky to lose a chain chasing second place, Redcar reserves too strong for ours and Jody was better than his points. Both teams deserved to be on the truck at the end. If we don't get through in any of the competitions, I hope Redcar win.
  19. You'll be late if you go tomorrow night as the meeting starts at 1pm so Mulford and Bomber can get to Holland for the Longtrack on Sunday. It's off though
  20. The Redcar match is still on as I can not see it any where.
  21. Was great to see passionate away fans making some noise on the back straight, Redcar did what they needed to do, all their riders chipped in, special shout out to Ace he has been on some form recently and showed his improvement in that excellent heat 14, can't imagine him doing that last year. Dan seemed low on power all night and Harris and Villads needed a few heats to get their equipment sorted (Villads seemed to find a rocketship between heat 6 and 8) which gave the Bears the advantage which was hard to claw back with the class of Wright and King. Hopefully this is a bit of a kick up the backside for the tigers and they can show why they finished top of the league in all the return legs.
  22. Teams with a good reserve will always be problem if Glasgows Top 5 are having an ordinary night.Their reserves have not shown any improvement over the season. The tie is not over yet though.
  23. Not a great result, but it’s a win and all to play for tomorrow night. Our team building strategy dictated that we just can’t afford for Harris and Howarth (I appreciate his was a retirement while third) to run last places. If they do, we need double figures from elsewhere. Credit to Redcar as that’s a great result. Add that to the result at Poole and the Bears are looking at a strong end to the season. I haven’t saw any team news, but I can only assume we’ll be missing Nagel tomorrow night to Danish commitments, Thompson to SGP2, Flint to German commitments and Perry to karate lessons. More guests than a Beckham wedding.
