1981 is a lifetime ago when we had limited entertainment options. That is not the case anymore. Speedway fans don't travel. I think I am one of the few exceptions, but I don't fit the average speedway fan demographic. When I have attended Birmingham, Oxford or Leicester during the last two seasons I have seen very few Wolves or Coventry fans. Looking around maybe Leicester does the best out of the three venues I mentioned with maybe 20ish a meeting. If speedway fans travelled then their would be greater support at away tracks rather than a hardcore 5-30 away fans at league meetings.

Yes I even thought he may sign for Ipswich this season, he hasn't had great meetings for Poole sometimes but he always seems to find a bit extra at play off time so beware he may be on fire tomorrow!

80mile round trip hmm. In 1981 when Berwick had no home track we had to make to begin with a 340 mile round trip to Barrow, 240 mile round trip to Workington, and a 200 mile round trip to Glasgow for our home meetings. Even now a large percentage of our fans can make a 50 - 120mile round trip for our home meetings.

Uses the same word as Woffy, (fun). Woffinden was very complimentary about Foxhall last year and said he had a blast and was great fun to ride. Bewley hasn’t got to grips with it yet. He seems to have one or two rides a meeting where you think “he’s cracked it now”, but then follows it up looking completely lost at the back. There was heat last year where he made a stinker of a gate, but stretched the throttle cable and hunted down and passed both Emil and Ellis Loram style! Unbelievable racing. But then he went completely downhill after that and ended the meeting poorly. Leicester is a similar sized track albeit narrower, but he seems to get around there far better than Ipswich for some reason. Probably both! 😩

Don’t think you can forecast when the weather will be better in GB.Any month can be dry or wet.Promotions never want to cancel but finances dictate.Like I said on another Post riders aren’t willing to ride wet tracks or if is drizzle.Fans are wary of this and won’t turn up these days.Thats GB Speedway nowadays.

Strange with Zach Cook. A couple of match winning meetings here a few years ago and he looked like a Foxhall track specialist! But the last couple of seasons it seems as though he’s completely forgotten how to ride the place and looked awful.

I would expect a better score from Zach after last night, he looked very quick. Thompson seemed quick enough but made bad decisions on track. Edwards was good too. I don't think the result will be close.

On paper, I agree with you, however I have just a few niggling concerns: 1. It seems that Ellis’ injury is more problematic on smaller tracks. 2. Thompson seems to be struggling with Foxhall since his return from injury and hasn’t been the same as pre injury. 3. Edwards last two meeting at Foxhall have not been good with 1 & 2 points respectively. Having said that, I still expect us to turn around the deficit and progress. I just can’t see enough points coming from Mulford, Zischke, Blödorn and even Cook. Cook has scored 1, 3 and 3 at Foxhall this season. Can’t wait.

I hear Manuel Neuer, and Marco Reus just missed getting on the podium in Germany...
