  2. I don't think the Rugby Club are flush with cash, they seem to think Speedway is noisy though I suspect many of those who make the decisions have no idea what Speedway is (Noisy motorbikes seems to be a generalisation) and the bikers Club having their HQ on site seems to be a little bit of a contradiction, I do believe there are possibilities of staging Speedway at Portway however influential Committee members probably need to be convinced about noise issues, but with the site being next to the M42 planning may be less of an issue than at other sites, parking on site is not an issue and neither is site access, most of the other facilities are already there just needs the track, and someone to sweet talk the Rugby people that the noise is barely more than what can be heard from the motorway traffic.
  3. Thankfully Cooper Rushen emerged fit and well, god knows the ramifications had he been injured. There is no justifible reason NOT to pay Cooper Rushen, he scored points in good faith, he was in no way at fault and only he had the rides. It does beg the question, who knew what and when? Presumably the Referee , experienced one , asked the question about the dispensation for the Guest and that it complied with the declared 1-7 and advertised team, I can't see how the Referee could be held responsible. The $64,000 question is who is responsible for the fact that VJF could and should have met this commitment and who knew what and when, and if the transport question passes the "sniff test" of credibility? The rider must surely be sanctioned and if Kent management knew in advance that the dispensation for Rushen was not actually valid and failed to tell Rushen, the referee or the BSPL then what sanctions should be applied to them. Or do you spin the coin and say the BSPL should have not assumed kent would change their team and told them that a Guest was no longer applicable. One suspects that had this been a PL or CL match that the BSPL would have been FAR MORE proactive but the fact they don't seem to be merely sums up their complete indifference to the NDL or what ever different bits are now called.

  5. Emil with even 75% of what was expected of him would have seen an Ipswich victory... Allied to that... Ellis at reserve should be a virtual cheat code, even more so when riding against the bottom three Aces.. And Danny King v Blodorn and Mulford should be a "gimme" for Danny, home or away... So. Given all that. Yes, surprised the Aces won...
  6. The Poles have more meetings for this age group than all the other countries added together - I think it’s just that they don’t buy into this and rather are happy keeping to the old 85, 125 and 250cc standard engine progression.
  7. Hope you didn't have a bet on the KO cup semi final and the BSN semi final 1st legs, all done and dusted
  8. You keep saying you are amazed the Aces won which is absolute tosh You have the world number 2 and 3 who fly at home and although they can score 28 they are usually good for 25 Lidsey and Cook are usually good for 16 between them at home That’s 41 which leaves 3 riders to score 5 between them to win at home I admit that bottom 3 are poor but to say teams should be winning at your track is garbage
  9. When did ‘any other reason’ get removed from the NL facility rulebook?
  10. Well what a surprise, not! Wish I could have had a bet at the bookies that Poole would call off the first leg with it being at home!
  11. How many times have Poole pulled this stunt to get the second leg over the years.
  12. He's in his fourth year with Belle Vue isn't he? While I'm sure he did drop to in 2022, probably in 2023 (Lidsey had a few matches at reserve early that year) I'm sure he didn't in 2024 - Mountain, Zischke & Vuolas were the none RS Aces reserves none of those would have attained a higher average. After 4 seasons though his progress has certainly stalled.
  13. Today
  14. The 10 day forecast for Middlesbrough doesn’t look great either. 🤞for Sunday
  15. Is it me or is there a deafening silence from AceBelle
