What about Northampton?

I cant see Northampton attracting enough people through the turnstiles to make any huge investment worthwhile, Birmingham didnt attract many fans from Wolverhamton, Cradley Heath or Coventry when you look at their gates last season and they are in the middle of what was once a speedway hotbed. -

Rob talking a good game hopefully at least 50% of what he thinks will happen will come to fruition lord knows the sport needs a massive shot in the arm. -
Not only does the website, Speedway Champions correctly identify the 1930s Paris-based World Championship results recently endorsed in last week's Sp.Star, (and now corrected on a well know encyclopaedic site,) - detail and results are also included of the other World title competitions, both in Argentina and in Australia - their unofficial 'World's Championship Series' and their less familiar ACU official 'World's Speedway Derbys' which ran until 1942 when war in the Pacific brought the competition to an end.

I think it's always a good idea to race at the lowest level you possibly can. It would be easy to say riders must move up as quickly as possible to improve but riders need confidence & must learn how to win races as well as having the weight of being relied upon to produce a match winning score. We have all seen riders leave the lowest league behind & move up to a higher league where it's not expected for them to score more than their minimal average & that there is no pressure on them. Then they get dropped & become outcast with no racing at all. Jody Scott has made a very good decision & I'm sure Redcar will see him improve swiftly.

No they wouldn't whatever some on here may say.

I certainly can’t see how there can be any criticism of BSN , you bought a package your were watching do roughly £ 5 a meeting. Race coverage was generally 1st Class and the Presentation Package on the night was excellent, unlike some Presenters on Discovery( no names) who hadn’t a clue on what to ask a rider.

Thank you. I don’t always agree with your views but this time I do. The NDL used to work much better but the arrival of one team who looked on it as a cash cow spoiled it for everyone. Riders who were happy at £10 a point and 10p a mile discovered a team paying £25 a point and 20p a mile and everyone wanted parity. The stand alone teams, like the Moss’s at Buxton, were driven out. And now, with Poland taking the best riders and, from next year, imposing a restriction on where they can ride, why should promoters invest in a future that won’t benefit them?
-
There's loads of riders that could return on the -8% per season missed rule. Even the Aussie ones on British passports 😂 Schlein 7.43 (8.08) Wethers 4.40 (6.47) Wouldn't be surprised if either of them pop up again somewhere

No idea, however... I would think it is perfectly fair to charge a hire fee for the track, and facilities, that the riders are using... You take up MX, Autograss, Club Motorsports, and even Grass track and you basically "pay to play".. Speedway shouldn't be any different at entry level.. And, of course, if you are any good, you actually get paid to race, something which many in other motorsports never get to experience...

Can’t praise BSN enough; they’re almost single-handedly keeping the sport in the UK visible and accessible. I hadn’t attended Ashfield for many years until I heard about BSN and tuned in. Two years later, I’m a track regular again; all because of BSN. As such, I cannot get on-board with any criticism of them. I’ve been a season pass holder for two years now and I think they’re adapting to each venue and improving the product every year. I don’t think you can ask for any more. They’re good people too. They’re authentic. I think Ian and Greg (Brennan and Blair, if I recall) are great.
