  1. Past hour
  2. They did, which I'm sure was a great help, but there's a lot of development before that. Woffinden didn't arrive in the UK until he was 15. Lambert did at least ride in the British Youth rounds, but famously spent plenty time in Germany. I don't even think Bewley rode in the British Youth rounds, he was another straight into the NL. The NL is (was?) a great training ground for youngsters, I was thinking more about what impact Vatcher & co's words of wisdom may have had.
  3. If they're transmitting a guy wearing a cap saying "F@#king Perfect" to the world, it is clear there is zero quality control on their output, as can be seen through the pictures and commentary, I don't know why people are so surprised 🤷‍♂️
  4. Shocking really, and shows how team riding is a lost art, especially internationally. Might have seen one, possibly two, attempts tonight at helping a partner, in 26 races.
  5. Nice to see young Hausal’s cap causing a stir on the “Speedway Around the bend” group on FB. Christ there’s snowflakes everywhere these days, what’s these covid jabs done to people.
  6. I think riders in this day and age are all about themselfs. I think it was Robert Lambert who was picking up a young rider of the year award a few years back. Peter Collins was presenting him his award. Lambert didn't have a clue who PC was!!
  7. You are right, he got 12 from 6 rides at Redcar for Birmingham
  8. If they then changed the scoring from 4-3-2-0, to 3-2-1-0, then it would be perfect. Second and third should be ranked equal to first and last. only If there's a tie on points at the end of the night, do you count back including bonus points.
  9. Mitch could have trapped Persson on the inside there, fantastic team riding, not!
  10. I do think it’s a bit odd though that in the event of a tie there will be a runoff with the top scoring individual from each team, rather than it being team based still. Perhaps to cover the possibility of a three or four way tie though.
  11. Didn't they all start in the third tier of British Speedway?
  12. If the Germans win tonight it will reverberate throughout the World of Speedway ......... steady on Kelv .....
  13. And how much did the GB set-up realistically contribute to the development of 2 of those 3?
  14. One of the few things that this competition does have going for it is riders/teams are actually placed based on the race points they're scoring and the team with the most points will win... how novel
  15. This was my point earlier about the GB set up, is it really working as bewley lambert and woffinden were always going to be established stars but after those 3 it’s quite a big gap
  16. I hope and Cairns would be better to stay with the same team for a few years.
  17. Hilarious to see riders celebrating the race win when their team has actually lost the race. It’s surely not that hard to understand the points system?!? Or are they still paid individually by the point?
  18. Think it shows where we are in World terms for young talent though.
  19. Will cairns would have been a shout, experience for his future races on large tracks, he has already had more experience on these tracks than the other two as he rides for Falubaz U24.
