Agree. Unfortunately not a winning night for the Brummies and a sad night for UK speedway. Where does it go from here, who knows but Birmingham, thank you for your contribution to speedway in the UK over the years and the memories with the likes of Arthur Browning etc and many a good meeting at Rayleigh pre 73. Letās hope someone somewhere can revive the sport in the Midlands.

Are you sure about that? Could say Belle Vue won't lose by as many at Sheffield in play offs. Each year Sheffield have often beaten us on aggregate in league but haven't beaten us playoffs yet.

Blimey Gavan get over it fella. Ipswich made the 2023 final due to Aces injury, If Wright hadn't got injured we'd have knocked you out in the semi. Aces won the league in 22 despite our number 1 being out injured and losing 2 riders in the 1st leg of the play offs final. Aces would have won the league in 2005 if KB didnt break his leg, we'd have most probably won in 2021 if Brady hadn't got injured. If, if, if.

It is a shame that in the UK we do not have this conveyor belt of talent. I appreciate that in Poland the opportunities and track availability is different but surely the UK can harness talent if they make full use of the tracks available and if necessary impose second halves on all clubs so that youngster in the UK get track time. The youngster are competitive and the racing can often be better than a league match as they are riding for themselves and ride to win at all costs. You only have to watch some the heats today and heat 19 would be an example of giving everything to win. The sport has a future in the UK but it is going to take someone special to get round the intransigence of the current custodians of the sport.

Yeah I was messing - on the Ipswich thread there was comments from BV and other fans not even there questioning the crowd! Unlike the self appointed āexpertsā if people who were there say it was a big crowd thatās good enough for me! good to see decent crowds at a couple of venues - Oxford doesnāt seem too busy tonight -
Annual play off injury jinx lol Beat a Sheffield side in the semi final missing Woffinden Won against Leicester away in the final with a full 1-7ā¦. Or do you mean you had Iversen guesting for Cook in the second leg Ipswich lost Doyle and Emil when Nileās clear last season You won the league because you had no injuries last season around play off time

Wishing all Brummie fans a brilliant and memorable night.

I thought the same didnt realise they moved up.

Admittedly I wasnāt and that sounds farcical if Iām honest having double points! I get the idea of it and how it makes meeting not runaway ones but when you come in fresh to speedway and look at the amount of random rules and regs its not that hard to see why people go to a few meetings then give up. I really just love the racing and enjoy it so it isnāt exactly a game changers for me just more or a frustration as to why someone gets a second chance at a meeting if they are dogSht to start with

Decent enough meeting for an end of season filler. The racing was compromised due to the need to keep the dust under control on a hot and breeze day. Only 6 heats had anything of note happen after they had sorted themselves out off the start by B3 L1. This meant it could appeal to the racing fans and the gateānāgo brigade so win win there. Big crowd and great atmosphere with the usual excellent presentation added to with the sound and pictures from the big screen. Shame a Tate EF in the away fixture cost us the bonus but if we are to have our usual bad luck, then have it in a qualifier. This unfortunate loss and our aggregate win against the lions earlier in the year just leaves Ipswich who we have failed to tame. Given the fact we pulled back 14 points over just 9 heats suggests we can be successful again when it comes to giving trophies out. Itās squeaky bum time though as our annual play off injury jinx is due in the next fortnight. Opponents take heart.
