Interested to see how Kennett goes tonight, thought he looked rather good at Northside on Saturday given his long spell away. -
Kemp is a really good signing, suits our track for sure. He can be very fast on his day. Scored 12 points last season at Northside from the No.1 position. Glad he's been snapped up and in the side for this weekend. Averaged 8.57 when riding in the No.1 position last season, so obviously has the ability, he kicked on massively over the last 2 seasons. I would move Kemp to No.5 and have Batchelor ride at No.3 with Tate, but that's just my opinion.
-
Cook wouldn't have won them the league either. Good signing who won't let the team down unlike his predecessor.
-
It appears some comets " fans " want a superstar signing when none are available and on what could be a limited budget 🤔 imo kemp is a good signing, could be a bit like batch at times, but this year batch has done well for the Comets

I’ve taken out the subscription on the Swedish league this year and on a few occasions he has properly missed the start completely. Like it’s a psychological thing. If Ipswich view him as a long term investment then they should try to help him. Gating is something that can be learned surely. He can clearly ride the bike but it’s no good if you a few bike lengths down by the backstraigh each race. -

2am is a good slot. -
Agree.

That's 2 riders that like to poodle around at the back, wonder which one will come last 😂
-
I suspect many feel he should have a pole up his arse!!
-
Should do a good job for the Comets.

I don't think it's Comets fans claiming Kemp is a poor signing it's others. Some comets fans just don't realise that Cook has been at fault quite a few times with his exploits away from the track but they defend him to the hilt with his mental health issues. Cook is a good rider but Workington could not continue with his commitment to not turning up and not riding.

He’s admitted himself he can’t gate, which is why he claims he rides the way he does because he’s always playing catch up. That was from his interview pre-season. But I actually thought his gating looked pretty decent in the few meetings for us! I feared the worst but he popped out in front a few times at Foxhall -

The fine summer weather should bring out the fans tomorrow. If it doesn’t then it perhaps is a concern -

He does, but it still isn’t encouraging is it? He’s usually much better than this in his homeland. For whatever reason, he’s struggling badly this year. -

I wonder if Jenkins thought twice before taking the guest booking. How he performs might well swing the result -

Opinions will vary. Attendance notably increased when first Doyle, then particularly Emil arrived and stayed consistently good. Speedy may not have noticed a decrease (or much of one) this season, but I have definitely noticed a drop off from previous seasons. Not an alarming one by any means, but a drop off all the same. Again, that’s to be expected surely. -

Clear to see these Comics don’t deserve a rider like Drew Kemp. Topped Jeppesen, Morris and Kildemand in the Berwick averages, always there, always giving 100% for the 2 years at Berwick, higher Prem rolling average than Howarth, Rowe, Morris, Kildemand, Jeppesen, Blodorn, Batchelor, Castagna in Premiership. -
Apart from when he pulls up at the back. Kemp isn’t a bad signing all things considered but won’t win you the league…goes missing when the pressure is on
