  1. Past hour
  2. No. Louis was against one league. He wanted a Premiership with at least 6 teams. He threatened that he would rather put Ipswich up for sale rather than run in one big league or a 5-team Premiership. BV, Leicester, Lynn and Sheffield also wanted a 6-team league, but were happy to go with 5 if necessary. Louis spat his dummy at 5 teams, and felt he had to go ahead with his threat to sell.
  3. No, it was one league or a minimum 6 team premiership. Right or wrong, he's made his decision...
  4. Today
  5. Would not his family's 70 history at Ippo, and speedway meant he would give it a year? Thought the family was speedway through n through.
  6. Yesterday
  7. Yes, CL would definitely have run with one league... Happy Christmas...
  8. I see ya laughing BP. So CL wanted one league?. i don't know, please enlighten us lesser mortals. Wouldnt it be worth 1 more year to give maybe Northampton, PB, Cov, Swindon,or another team a chance to step up.. No matter how unlikely?
  9. Thats the one... Say what you like about Lynn, but despite the crowds being not the best, and we are generally taken the pis% off, we are going again.. Louis is making a profit, and won't give it a year.... For the sports his family loves, where he might only break even.... Happy Christmas
  10. I was gutted and angry that wolves closed but I am around speedway so much it has softened the blow a little bit but being so close to it I also get to know a lot of the downsides which do sometimes pee me off a bit
  11. The majority of fans buggered off years ago. Myself included when Newcastle closed. Well just before as it was rubbish, Whilst I'm not a fan of doubling up I don't think it has the detrimental impact in terms of credibility it once did. Look at franchise cricket. Everyone plays for multiple franchises. But it's now accepted because these competitions are differentiated. i.e. the Hundred is distinct from the Big Blast, the County Championship, the IPL the Big Bash etc. The trouble with the Premiership/Championship is that there's hardly any delineation between the two. Premiership is basically the Championship with maybe 6 elite riders added. i.e the Premiership isn't premium, the product isn't premium, apart from maybe at Belle Vue. It's clear that the majority of punters don't fall for it. A genuinely premium product might have worked but the Premiership has fallen between two stools for too long. Either do a premium product or don't.
  12. As far as i'm aware you cannot sign a contract until you're 16 Statement of intent to sign is probably not dissimilar to a verbal contract.
  13. Gutted like a lot of other Panthers fans when we closed, but honestly speaking, I haven't missed it as much as I thought I would.
  14. As a bandits supporter I can’t disagree. I’m not sure how he would even get back into a team with his record now.
  15. Oxford haven’t signed him, but like you say that will be put to bed at 7am tomorrow
  16. Ahh didn't realise that, but if I were to sponsor an up & coming rider, I would be tempted to use that as leverage to get them to sign for my chosen team when they come of age. Certainly it would seem slightly bizarre to sponsor a rider of an opposing team. Or is Rushden closely connected to Wessex Marine in some other way?
  17. It is not maintaining professional attitude to his clubs that lets him down not his ability on the bike.
  18. No, but if Oxford haven't signed him, and we'll find out tomorrow who their reserve are, then it essentially confirms that he is riding for Poole before Poole announce it. I expect Rushen to be riding for Poole next year
  19. Big signing for the Pirates, comes good when it matters most..
  20. Thought he signed when he turned 15 so it won't be a surprise when announced.
  21. Agreed very nice team being put together. think ritchings gone slightly north.
  22. Yes that may be the case. However, as we know from previous years they usually fudge some cock up together to try and make 2 leagues work!
  23. Turkey's don't vote for Christmas and no one votes to abolish themselves.
  24. I like cook when he is on the bike I was disappointed this year as he was really good to watch when he did show up at Berwick. I hope whatever his reasons have been. He can overcome the issues and get back at it because he is a class rider.
  25. They have sponsored him for a couple of seasons, but does not mean he is Poole bound, may want to share a lift from East anglia as he cant drive yet, with batch and be worky bound 🙃😁
  26. They’ve already been sponsoring him, it isn’t just for 2026
