  1. Past hour
  2. This has been put up on Northampton shaleway Facebook page, saying new hospitality suite but could be a refs box 🤔
  3. Fyi https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy4nqlzndqqo
  4. Earmarked for housing to allegedly fund the refurbishment and reopening of the Grade 2 listed swimming pool.
  5. Why not it’s already sport land and looking on google it’s in middle of industrial land
  6. Availability of required materials/fencing needed to make it a speedway circuit in time for the season start or shortly after has been one of the main things, not just the actual track but other things such as changing rooms, referees box etc etc. Ensuring there was rider availability to put out a competitive team was another. Backers and finance is there, willingness from the stadium owners is there
  7. Locals in Swindon are also fighting with developers etc over regeneration in that area and the Oasis itself. Regrettably a Speedway track would never be permitted there.
  8. Not correct Dean, work going on that benefits the speedway because if it doesn’t happen in time for this season then it needs doing anyway as they will run next season
  9. Exciting news!! If you can produce a 2026 PL fixtures list, that exactly matches the one about to be produced by BSPL, you will be entered into a draw (a "top draw") to receive a free 2026 season ticket for Northampton speedway! Competition closes at 5pm this Friday. Terms and conditions apply.
  10. Today
  11. Can’t Swindon do something on the oasis leisure center ? It’s been unused for a few years and looking on google earth already has a cycle speedway track on the grounds
  12. That doesn’t even make sense, no work at the stadium will even start till a deal has been done to run speedway otherwise you’re paying for work for someone else, any work done at the stadium has been for the stox
  13. When you say "work", presumably it falls into two broad categories : 1. Financial, legal, administrative 2. Physical And i'm presuming it's certain work and associated decisions within category 1 which needs to be suffiently progressed by the end of this week?
  14. Meeting starts at 3pm UK time. Decent line-up. Zmarzlik Kurtz Janowski Lindgren Zengota Lebedevs Tungate Dudek Kubera Prem Pawlicki Vaculik Drabik Ratajczak Piotr Pawlicki Madsen ???
  15. I was very close to adding him and taking out Tungate and Kerr. Riss, Wright and Kerr were name dropped for Northampton on the podcast hence why I wen't down the route without Lidsey.
  16. Thanks for responding but that’s not really an answer! I’ll try and put it another way. The yes/no decision (whoever is making it) will presumably be based on where the project is as a whole, so what needs to be in place by the decision date?
  17. link to story here. https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/25903099.plans-demolish-swindons-abbey-stadium-recommended-refusal/?ref=cprfa
  18. Lots of work still needs doing, the cut off is not for the work to be complete as that can carry on up until the season starts, the cut off is the final yes/no decision
  19. But that’s the point,,the general public react to sound bites, you have proved the point, you’ve watched Bracknell,I’ve watched it and can’t stand football but I watch it because he is a parady and sometimes funny ,nobody outside the sport would give Richie Hawkins a view because he is dull, he may be a great team manger or whatever and he deserves a place in the sport but he is dull in interviews, that interview I watched this morning he may aswel of been explaining algebra
  20. Best interest of the the sport rule kicks in.🤔👍
  21. It’s the 1.5 conversion rate …
