SWC Final Warsaw Aug 29
MassMarauder replied to MassMarauder's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
When I bought my ticket a week or more ago - the upper level sections had plenty of tix available. The lower levels less so - mostly the apex area of turns 3 & 4. https://www.kupbilet.pl/swc2026/sell6 - Yesterday

The league becomes more worthless year on year. Sooner or later the back end will drop out and then what happens. I simply cannot see how they find a way out without reducing costs. Simple economics surely, if participants can afford to take part in a sport it simply has no future.
-
This level is at least 2 seasons too soon for him.
-
But if it was a 6pm start and a cloudy day the night skies would be here around 8pm. The comets will be having a Ben fund collection and the meteors also have their final meeting, so if any type of delay the bikes would need lights to finish the meeting
-
Any reason for a big crowd ? Nothing really to play for , Meeting against local rivals, kids go free or could it be the cooper Rushen effect, after seeing him on normal TV people want to see him live ? Any thoughts

Not over yet for me. Just like you we also have Northampton away, and we only beat them by five at Foxhall so it’s conceivable we don’t even get a bonus point out of that. We also have Belle Vue at home and with our half @rsed number 1, Doyley will have a field day along with Kurtz. It’s possible we only pick up a further two points and that’s Sheffield at Foxhall on Thursday! I’d genuinely rather miss out and call it a day for this year because we have absolutely no chance against Belle Vue over two legs. We’ll inevitably get battered once again at the NSS. Of all the clubs in the league Lynn would probably make it the most interesting as a spectacle because you ride it better than anyone this year.

Sure someone will correct me if i am wrong but not sure if he has been as late as 7.15 at Poole. Also team spirit at Poole may be better(?) as apparently the other riders take the mick in a bantery way when he's late. Seems to be a running joke what time he will be ready etc. Think Poole just accept that is just Rich or his priority is with the championship more, when he's not in Denmark that is 😉🙃 Anyway back to Ippo..

I agree with the Ipswich fan who I cannot mention his name they should have got Ellis in to replace Lawson weeks ago. I said ages ago Coleman dont know his arse from his elbow about league racing Louis should have stayed on in a advisory role. Look at the Kennett fiasco earlier in the season.

Glasgow Tigers Vs Poole Pirates 21st August
foreverblue replied to Bitza's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Not me, I do not want to win at all costs and although disappointed when we lose, happy to take it on the chin and move on. I agree a good close meeting can be enjoyable if we lose but I would say more enjoyable when we win. Also I would say some 60-30 meetings can be enjoyable too. -
So, plenty of time then... He gets bad press but seems to have no issues when riding for Poole..?
-
Back in the day , I recall one of the promoters at Eastbourne stating that one stockcar meeting made more money than speedway did in a season.
-
Enormous crowd but a poor meeting really, two passes after the second bend all evening. Needed the bonus point but never really looked like getting it. Still in with a chance but gonna need the bonus out of Leicester and that seems unlikely. And have to win at Northampton first!

Nowhere near enough development of young UK riders over the past two decades has delivered the only output it could.... The NDL was seen as "too strong" so got diluted, so clubs stopped riding in it, and entry level places were no longer there given the reduced number of teams.. The Championship then used the better NDL riders and also used loads of journeymen foreign riders which, again, took places away for UK riders.. The Championship became "too strong" with loads of tier one HL's and SS's doubling up, which also took places for developing riders.. The result? No bridge between the third level and the top tier, which the second tier should be..

Going to be a long night for Team GB. Questionable whether that team would have got through the Semi-Final.

We're gonna do well to finish 4th 😬 Amazing how thing's have changed in just a couple of years for GB. The next couple of years are looking even worse for us as a group. -
7.15 is what i was told from the pits.
-
Want to see some ambition with riders like Pollstad and Nagel or riders like that,, trouble is with Poland ruling the roost they will need a big pay check to make Britain one of the other leagues
-
The Lynn team are just cr@p on paper it was a fairly decent team and should of made the play offs easily imo
-
That's it for King's Lynn's Play-Off chances. Ipswich collecting the agg point seals the spot.
-
Doing it on purpose to keep his average down, Should've been made an example of when no showing at Leicester.
-
Kevin Juhl Pedersen isn't the answer next season, Seen enough of him now to come to a conclusion, Giving it to Jason Edwards shouldn't even be considered either tbh. King sublime again, Going to be a real headache what to do next season as he's going to end up on a 8.00 GSA imo. Season to foget for Tom and I hope Musielak is back in 2027.
-
You mean hurry was
-
Last season as a rising star so I honestly can’t see anyone picking him up as a senior reserve next year that’s for sure. Three man team tonight, excellent once again from our two standouts this year, King and Tobi, and also very good from the guest Rowe. The others, load of hydraulics really.
-
Same with the other reserve,, he hasn't improved in the last 3 seasons either, big shake up of riders needed for next season.
