This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. Any updates? 😆 taking longer than the PL...
  3. I fear it may also be too late for the Aussies and Yanks... more recently a lot of them have started their careers elsewhere in Europe rather than the UK, it's never too late to try and reverse that trend though.
  4. Also think there's merit in trying to forge stronger ties with Aus and the USA to try and help them get more youngsters set up they could send our way later, agree its probably to late with the Dane's and Swedes now as most of their better younger riders just skip the UK and head straight to Poland and with better money and easier logistics its easy to see why.
  5. Keep near your phone this afternoon Dean I've heard you might be getting a call later about the size of your back garden and if its big enough to fit an Plymouth sized track in the back of it.
  6. I assume you are referring to Worrall? There was rumours about this but I hadn’t seen anything official? Be a shame if he has retired
  7. If that is the case my guess is Scunthorpe. Maybe Rob Godfrey feels some responsibility as Chairman, having led the organisation into such a parlous state, to act as a sticking plaster for a year. Josh Pickering as number one in both leagues?
  8. Nothing I can argue with there Bob as you say 600 houses or 2k per week, local council will be on board as its nother 600 lots of council tax probably in bands D to F. Didn't someone say at the Stars winter meet up that Buster mentioned Prem promoters probably having to put a bung in each to keep the top league going maybe they are going to offer Oxford 50-60k to go one more season. Like most on here I can't think of a defunct track that is remotely likely to be in a position to come back , I'm not in the loop these days other than what I read on here but is there any prospects with Kent seem to remember when Len ran it crowds were decent but possibly it fell apart when owner wanted big increase in the rent ? I can't really see any other championship side running two teams, unless say Terry Russell ran Swindon out of Oxford for a year before relaunching closer to Swindon he could afford to take a 50-100k loss on the chin maybe less if the other promoters subsidised part of the losses for a year.
  9. Im not worried, just bored of waiting now. Every team bar us and Scunny have most if not all of their team
  10. They were found not guilty of all charges.
  11. They were found not guilty of all charges.
  12. Thoughts on a return of the Spires in 2026 , the saviour of PL 2026 ?
  13. So is it okay that after a young lady is sexually abused the perpetrators are all still actively involved in speedway?
  14. So Oxford could have their arms twisted and be the saviours of the PL 2026 ????
  15. Today
  16. The riders are dictating the Sport as they have done over here for years, bringing it further down every season.Self Interest rules with Promotions.Until these change the Sport is going nowhere.
  17. I don't say that... I say that there's plenty of riders already available in the UK that just aren't given a chance in favour of a ready made foreigner
  18. So reading the latest Rye house statement we can rule them out of the 2026 runners and races, Eastbourne out too, if there is a 6th team realistically at this point it has to be a current championship team running a premier team too
  19. Yet when questions are raised about how one big league could be made to work it is always trotted out that we will just get in 20-30 riders from abroad like its as easy as clicking your fingers.......
  20. No, far from it. But he is the only rider, as far as I know, that has robbed an elderly woman armed with knives whilst out of his head on crack cocaine. There have been many instances where a rider can come back from a drugs ban. Smarty came back from missing a season and a half and was better than ever after it. Roger Lobb made a successful comeback and Nick Morris seems to of done okay. I do think the ban should be longer for being caught under the influence and they should be tested every meeting for the rest of their career. People say its expensive but it really isn't, I was working in the mines in Australia a few years back and drug tests cost them next to nothing. It is mad how it gets out that drug testers are in attendance at tracks which causes riders to suddenly have a van break down on them. Its criminal how a plank like Garrity can do what he has and now seemingly has Havelock and Wilson backing him on his comeback whereas genuine decent lads with equal ability get next to nothing to help them.
  21. I thought both nights were pretty close to sold out - despite the high prices - last year?
  22. They said in the new year so hopefully very soon. They messed up last time releasing them in March. It affected the belle vue crowd. They need to release them quickly fans so aces fans dont have to sacrifice league fixtures for the GP
