Since coming to Berwick, Drew has added over three points to his average, finishing the '25 season as #1. He has been a delight to deal with, on and off track, and if his (quite reasonable) ambitions of riding, and earning abroad had not prevented his racing in the Championship in '26 he would most certainly have been invited, and welcomed by the Bandits again. If he finds it possible to return at some time in the future, Berwick fans and management would most certainly be delighted.

Not sure how you work that one out. Stock cars don't have nice concrete pits with cover like speedway does, so you couldn't just chuck a few bikes in there, and they can't give up space for extra speedway pits to be be built as some bigger stock car meetings have to restrict car numbers as it is due to lack of pit space.

Reid Battye, a young rider from NSW, travelled all the way up to Darwin last year to contest, and indeed win, the Northern Territory State Title. Which in turn got him into the field for the recently-concluded Aussie Title series. Allowing him to showcase himself alongside a few other hopefuls.

I agree but there should have been more comms with fans, particularly giving reassurance on the continuance of the club. The alternative would have been to sell during the season so it's all sorted in good time for the following year.

All I know is the sport is dying a death and unless a new generation of fans come along to see a relevant meaningful product professionally ran with an identity attached to keep those new fans interested, it’s all over sooner than later. It’s a speedway meeting. What entertainment other than the racing do you suggest during a break . Yes people want the good days back but the sport was run properly in those days. Second halves etc.

All of that, total nonsense. Let's go through it. "Starting with it causing the disconnect between fans and the riders who race for their team." That's just not true is it. Before, during and after the season, no fan complains about their riders, riding elsewhere overall. The only disappointment is when a rider gets injured racing for someone else. Nobody can handle a void, the brain has to be constantly entertained. If British Speedway wants the under 30s trackside for 2+ hours, the brain needs entertaining for the 90 minutes of nothingness. Practice starts, the odd wheelie & 4 laps will never, ever be enough in 2026.

Despite the chuntering on here once Louis had decided to sell up he was up against it time wise to get this sorted - it’s to his and the buyers credit they have managed to get this in place inside 8 weeks (even less) - if hadn’t - all hell would be breaking loose here! Let’s hope all is in order and the sale goes through smoothly.

Space needed for 20 riders.... An individual event needs space for 18 with the reserves, so I am sure an extra two could be accommodated without too much issue. And tracks that run Stock Cars too would have plenty of room.. Plus, riders getting an "opportunity" would set up in the car park if needs be I am sure....

He never lasted to the end of the season, I believe the riders were not getting paid and the licence was suspended until finances were in place which never happened so they never re-opened. I don't think the riders have ever received there promised monies by the promotion.
