3rd !!! May know after Scunny meeting
-
May be a good signing, likely to stay at reserve. Fit from grasstrack and been going well. Used to like Poole track. £rd in British Final at Poole in about 2009

There was a posting on Facebook. Very lengthy and wordy, I think from the owners/one of the owners of the stadium, basically suggesting speedway will never return at the stadium. I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned on the forum? Steve Ribbons made a short comment at the time. Whether there are now more comments I don't know? Basically, the lady was saying, speedway is not sustainable at the stadium.

Ipswich v Sheffield Thursday 16th July
Bash replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
There is nothing on the Ipswich preview but just read on the Sheffield website that he is injured -
Doesn't make you any less of an idiot.

There's more of them than you realise - Scott Nicholls also has a day job and he does this during the season as well, so with two UK teams he's still not 100% employed in speedway. I just caught up with this meeting and have to say what a boring meeting it was. Belle Vue have done this a few times this season but in some of them, at least the home riders missed a start or two so had to pass the opposition - for this meeting no-one seemed to pass anyone beyond the first couple of corners. Maybe it's just the hot weather as most tracks have been very slick and dry over the last few weeks but there was definitely more entertainment at Foxhall in recent matches. Just saying.😉

Poznan round today POSTPONED -
Indeed.... Well meaning people doing things that once may have worked... By now, every team should have the emails, mobiles, and personal details of each of their fans who attend... Eg, if they haven't seen that fan purchase a ticket for two matches, send them an email and text offering reduced entrance to the next one.. Send them Xmas cards, birthday cards etc etc, plus to their family if they have young kids.. A complete database would be not more than 3,000 (if that),... With circa 600 seats empty every week in the GS, you would have someone sending emails and texts all day Saturday to Monday from 8am, offering reduced price, free kids tickets etc.. By Monday morning you will know what the crowd will be like given those who pay on the night will be a certain parameter number... Flogging 300 seat tickets for £15 and 300 standing for a tenner each on a Monday would bring in £7.5k you were more than likely not getting.. And. If people start to take the "Erik Riss" and stop buying in advance, in the hope they got a reduced ticket, then just stop doing it for a meeting or two.. I used to restrict all my promotions if I thought a private shop was coming in and buying in bulk to resell... Richard Coleman said that just 300 extra at every track was a big deal.... The beauty of which is you don't need the same 300, just get 300.. So much "digital gold" is at at your fingertips to brng in punters these days.. Every track should employ at least one person to do it direct market style, using their fan database.. Or maybe get them to put leaflets on car windscreens in supermarket car parks.

After his recent meeting at Buxton, & rumoured after meeting spin at Sheffield, is there any chance a club will take a punt on Garrity ?
-
I will pop over with that sort of service.

Very good Mike, if only mind it was thus, mind you i'm doing some investment mentoring to my youngest son and his best friend for their A levels tomorrow. The drill for his friend is turn up tomorrow at 10 am in t shirt and shorts on we will do a couple of hours on asset allocation start the bbq at midday crack open a couple of beers and you will be home by 2pm. Before they both head off I will shatter the illusion that unless you get lucky and have a great idea your looking at 40 years of graft so enjoy today.

He’s gonna score a lot of points

They don't seem much different for Belle Vue and Leicester, however the Kings Lynn attendance was lower, possibly because of the heat as there was several 'familiar faces' who stand near me missing. The silence over Jack isn't helping matters.

Where is KJP, injured? -
Because it's 2026 and not 1986

Where do live mate?.. I'll be around about seven tomorrow...

Agreed absolutely as you said trail out after a hard days graft, try and find a parking space, assuming there's three in the family attending £75 odd to get in plus food and drink on top or flop in the armchair cold beer on one side, trusty remote in the other and the mrs cooking a nice steak sandwich in the kitchen and £15 laid out.

That's a good quality reserve.

I'm sure Bomber will be interested next year, whatever the BSPA serve up. Its just that there may not be anybody bothered about watching him and all the teams he will represent at some point. -
Glasgow v Edinburgh Scottish Cup 1st Leg 11th July
Nickinho replied to eide67's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
There are some negative things to say and i happened to say them. If there weren't any negative things then there would probably be bigger attendances but i've noticed them falling over the past season or so and i've heard from some fans that say that they aren't always comfortable at the speedway. Obviously your experiences are always wonderful and that's fantastic, i'm extremely glad about that. Plus, in my 'rant', i also complimented the staff at Ashfield who are always great so i wasn't being completely negative. This is a forum not Woodstock. Not everything said here is always going to be groovy, man. -
Or, as Ian Thomas used to say, "Happiness for a promoter is 15 4-2s"

Sounds Great... Why isn't it working?...
