  1. Past hour
  2. Funny, I'm yet to see one Poole fan say "Do you know what, he could have been over the line, we might have got way with one there..." Thing is, there was one in the first leg as well, which if it had been punished (and it should have been because there was absolutely no doubt about that one!) then a Super Heat wouldn't have been needed and this conversation wouldn't be happening.
  3. Correct. Intentionally or not, he has made it very clear he wants to be at Glasgow.
  4. Who could've seen that coming? He's never seemed overly bothered about Edinburgh from watching his YouTube videos, and he'll go back to Glasgow having dropped nearly a point off his average.
  5. Has the 1 over 8 rule been confirmed for next season.? Bomber will be quitting then!
  6. Was told last night Dan T already signed for Glasgow.
  7. |Whoops - Harris drops below 8 with the 2.5% Brit reduction so could stay at Glasgow with Flint.
  8. Bomber would fit with the 2.5%Brit reduction as he drops to 7.93.
  9. Re another poster suggesting plus Masters or Bomber. 1) Masters to high with the above if total still 40 and 2) Assuming they were to keep the one over 8 rule. On the team another 2 riders who may come into the mix could be Kennett & Jenkins. The above 6 comes to 31.91 leaving 8.09. Harris would fit but it could come down to 2 factors. 1) Would Glasgow let Harris go rather then Flint (with the 1 over 8 rule and 2) We know he prefers Glasow track to Poole. Both Danny King and Dan Thompson both fit being below 8. Going to be plenty of name the team ideas coming forward in coming weeks/months. Also havent mentioned Kyle Newman who did a brilliant job at reserve (especially at home). Problem is he may suffer as a result of needing maybe 2 reserves with lower av in order to try and fit in nucleus of this years team and having to lose 4.98 points from thsi years team. Of course Landon also a big IF and i question having him and Lightcap who is still learning may be a big risk as the 2 reserves.
  10. When Havvy rode for Poole he was notorious for having his front wheel on the grass, taking the tightest inside line possible. Was his trademark around Wimbourne Road!
  11. Today
  12. I don't understand how its being labelled 'cheating' either. It's not a deliberate act, as Cook knows if he has put both wheels inside the white line it, he gets excluded and Poole lose!!!??? I also note very few are asking quite how Jacob Hook re-injured his shoulder since Friday allowing Jenkins to guest and score 7+2. And yes, I am well aware Poole have played similar moves in the past - I am not excusing it. But all those sitting high and mighty on their soap boxes are very selective with what needs reviewing 🤣 One good thing out of all this is I've added a tonne of c*ck w*mbles to my block list as they've all come out the woodwork over the past 24 hours...
  13. The difference is that one guy was found guilty of the charge & the other wasn't. I'm not the only one on this topic showing contempt for Garrity's crime & they perhaps ,like myself, feel that it would be much better if he found "his purpose in life" somewhere else so that he can't influence younger speedway supporters into thinking his approach is an acceptable one. There's always the bigger picture to consider.
  14. How? If one 8+ rider? Would it not be Lawson, Masters or Bomber? Though thought Bomber was quitting if there isnt 2h +2a in the championship?
  15. I write this as a neutral, I am not Poole fan, or a Scunthorpe fan, I am Arena Essex, Poole have a history of getting away with things, but Godfrey is no angel either, he was a small part of the reason why the Hammers went out of business. Anyway I digress Video evidence has been used at speedway for some time now and any good referee would have watched that raced and noted down the fact that they might have to look again at the footage before declaring a result. There is no way you could call it in real time whether Cook’s rear tyre had crossed the line or not, it needed to be examined. The ref looked at it afterwards but only after being prompted too by David Howe, and then I suspect they would have only changed their minds had it been like with footballs VAR, not just a error, but a clear and obvious one, had speedway had someone in the pits acting as a overseer then they would not be able to overrule the decision because of that fact, some angles it did others were not conclusive. I think Poole did deserve to be champions but not because of what happened on the night but the fact they finished top of the table. Certainly last night I don’t think Poole cheated, they had a close call which could have gone against them but Zack didn’t do anything out of the ordinary, heck I recall years ago it was something of a in joke that Mick Poole would spend most of the season on the grass at the showground, he was famous for it. In summary, the ref could have handled it a lot better, the refereeing standards as a whole in this country have been very poor to put it nicely.
  16. Whoever does it, just weakens the argument if they have to change it. Thought it supposed to be riders going round in circles, not fans! The only way it will change is if Scunny complain and SCB take their side and punish ref or rerun the meeting. It says they cant change result of a race after the meeting has finished.
  17. Keep posting the same inconclusive evidence, perhaps if someone posts it for a fourth or fifth time, maybe the decision will miraculously change.
  18. Gutted about the restaging dates - have got tickets for Alice Cooper in Manchester for next Friday. (Please rain!)
  19. It certainly looks like part of the back wheel "could" be on the line, therefore even using Speedways equivalent to VAR the decision wouldn't have been overturned..
