Unfortunately the standard has dropped so much that the two time winner of said championship is still after three seasons of racing got an average of a tad under three pts. We have produced 4 world champions and countless world finalists and GP riders from the championship. I can't see that happening any time soon!!

All this not blaming the rider is BS in my opinion, the likes of Sayfutdinov & Kurtz always hold the cards, there's no way their clubs are going to drop them while they're still scoring the points and even if they did they'd be a queue of other clubs wanting to sign them. It's time they stood up and showed some integrity! Sayfutdinov should definitely receive a nice 28 day ban... and miss the pay off final š

Itās not a like-for-like replacement; itās deeper than that. We took a risk when building this team and while it may still work, itās cost us several times this season. Weāre top heavy and that isnāt Max Perry or Freddy Hodderās fault, but unless our top five are firing on all cylinders- which hasnāt happened on several occasions - then thereās more pressure on those two teenagers to deliver, especially the one riding at number six. Perry and Hodder have had a tough gig this season, but they should be proud. Next season, keep Hodder and compliment him with a stronger reserve.

Cairns was outstanding last night and continues to exceed expectation, but I agree with the sentiment of your second paragraph. The standard of British speedway is abysmal and the level of rider coming through is so far removed to what this country once produced. The British Under-21 final earlier this season was like watching one of Scott Nichollsā training schools. The focus for 90% of that field was safely getting around two bends; not actually racing. It was so poor. Once upon a time, we had Lorams and Screens, then we had Steads and Allens, then we had Kennetts and Bridgers, but now we donāt.

Kerr and Bowes out, Luke Killeen and Ben Trigger replace them -
LINE-UP: Adam Ellis, Will Cairns, Zach Cook, Vinnie Foord, Anders Rowe, Tobias Thomsen, Drew Kemp, Kevin Juhl Pedersen, Paul Starke, Jonas Jeppesen, Fraser Bowes, Edward Kennett, Richard Lawson, Darryl Ritchings, Scott Nicholls, Lewis Kerr. Kerr surely not riding. Lawson back? Eddie Kennett? Interesting that he still wants to ride speedway. Poole clearly looking at Pedersen and Jeppesen for 26.

Sorry don't want to reign on your parade. He beat the reserves and Palm Toff. Not exactly a sixteen year old Michale Lee, Mark Loram or Joe Screen is is it? Is that how far the standard of British speedway has fallen, that you rave about a sixteen year ole beating another two young riders with averages less than 3. Yet one of them managed to beat him twice!!

Personally donāt see why they signed Perry.Hodder was signed on 1 good guest appearance ( never really improved with Berwick last season). Hodder is showing signs of improvement though( main at home).

Good line up as well by the looks of group A! Hope the weather holds out and we can show them all the premiership trophy as well š

Don't let facts stand in their way Steve, you know you can't say anything negative about the mighty Belle Vue on here. We know it is a meaningless fixture like the one at Oxford tomorrow as well. It is probably Emil's Polish team that have done this and out of his hands, not like Brady who made his own mind up to not put himself out in a semi-final.
