  1. Past hour
  2. High Wide and Handsome I reckon! A couple of ones that I always recall and they actually started to grate on me a bit - 'he's going to wind it on round the outside' - 'Cuts back to the inside' both these phrases usually resulted in no passing!
  3. Charge of the heavy brigade into the first turn, not for the feint hearted, where angels fear to tread, party piece. All great Lanningisms. I dont think he'll ever be bettered personally.
  4. Is Doyle now riding?... I noticed he's included this fixture on his instagram story... Or is he just promoting the meeting and giving his sponsors a push?
  5. Only Sheffield have recorded scores in the early 40s this season, with two under 30s. I can't see the Foxes troubling the Aces too much, but hopefully nearer the Tigers than Ipswich or King's Lynn...
  6. Today
  7. The best thing Sam ever done was giving paedo Shawn a slap in the car park. Shame he didn't stamp all over his head now looking back. 😂 Does anyone remember the 99 PLRC at Sheffield and former rider Derrol Keats glassing a fan in the bar? Sure he got banged up for it.

  9. “You can’t hold a candle to this classy Dane” in reference to Brian Andersen.
  10. Hadn’t yet returned to speedway in 2019, so missed this, but that’s ridiculous. Good to hear the person was banned. I don’t care if it’s a glass pint, a plastic tumbler or a toothpick; anti-social behaviour needs a hard line. The law of averages dictates a few idiots are inevitable amongst a crowd of thousands. During a meeting last season, I saw a grown man steal from the snack bar on the back straight at Ashfield. Ordered, took his food & drinks and walked straight out. The young boy behind the till was in shock, but what can you do? It’s also worth noting Ashfield is in one of the country’s most deprived areas, so again, the odd Neanderthal is almost unavoidable.
  11. The fixture situation is a joke, and they wonder why they are losing fans. teams won’t use alternate race nights and only ride with guests when it suits it becoming farcical.
  12. Have to say that much as he used to get angry and wait for somebody I don't remember him picking up a shovel and I just checked with him and you definitly mis- remembered that one 🤣 He was no angel for sure but don't think he needed to 'tool up'.
  13. That’s a great ride from the guest tonight, Chris Harris.
  14. I agree, all 5-1's are the same size !!. Craig Saul used to say that a lot at Rye House. Another one that annoys me is " He is so far ahead, he is in a different postcode " Hear that often on the Berwick streaming service.
  15. Tatum gets worse wk on wk, cant remember which rider it was on Saturday but he'd just completed his 3rd ride and Tatum said erm err he had 3 outside gates still to come🤨 that makes 6 rides in my book not 5🤣
  16. The phrase I hate is a big 5-1. For it to be big some 5-1's must be smaller. Its not big it significant, strategic or important. Ahhhhhhhh rant over.
  17. Yes it was Sam ! got clattered off on bend 2 and picked up the shovel and was ready for the opposing rider when he came back round after the race was stopped .
