Belle Vue -V- Ipswich POSF leg 1
Gavan replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You keep saying you are amazed the Aces won which is absolute tosh You have the world number 2 and 3 who fly at home and although they can score 28 they are usually good for 25 Lidsey and Cook are usually good for 16 between them at home That’s 41 which leaves 3 riders to score 5 between them to win at home I admit that bottom 3 are poor but to say teams should be winning at your track is garbage -

He's in his fourth year with Belle Vue isn't he? While I'm sure he did drop to in 2022, probably in 2023 (Lidsey had a few matches at reserve early that year) I'm sure he didn't in 2024 - Mountain, Zischke & Vuolas were the none RS Aces reserves none of those would have attained a higher average. After 4 seasons though his progress has certainly stalled. -

Brennan winning heat 9 felt like a key moment for Ipswich. Coming off the back of conceding that 5-1 in the previous race, he hadn't looked particularly quick himself at that point so it seemed like a great opportunity for Belle Vue to extend their lead to 10. He did a decent job in 13 as well to hold off Bewley long enough that he didn't have time to chase Sayfutdinov. Doyle deservedly rider of the night though, excellent from him in his last 3 rides especially. -
