  1. Comfortable ? Was Harris leading or second when he fell. That makes it a draw otherwise? Thank goodness you signed Nielsen otherwise it would have been embarrassing.

    Rye House 2018

With Poole away and Kings Lynn home being the remaining fixtures for May the averages will no doubt allow for some changes next month.

    Poole 2018

Well if that is what Josh is doing it is affecting his UK form badly. As mentioned a more than competent rider in Champ and Prem and much admired especially at Rye where he guested a lot a few seasons ago.
  4. This team of veteran Championship riders keep defying the odds with another fine win. Race times were a second faster than recent meetings but Scott showed you don’t need speed to provide good racing with his team riding losing his steel shoe mid race too. Not impressed with Poole so I guess Holder will arrive soon and Josh or another will be jettisoned.

    Kent 2018

Len Silver will always charge what he thinks is good for the speedway club. His mantra is that the sport survives only by making a profit. NL racing needs to be priced realistically and the current price at Kent isn’t.
  6. What you are alluding to is a theory it’s putting it into practise is the problem nowadays.

    Isle Of Wight 2018

The lower NL points limit is to encourage better riders to move up and so free up team places for new riders. But due to the doubling up rule Championship teams have Strong line ups so the chances for NL riders becomes limited. The sport doesn’t seem to reward improvement as you up your average you can put yourself out of a job, as Ellis Perks.
  8. Yes that’s what ALL promotions attempt to do but the unfortunate state of UK speedway, especially at the Premier level means that their are very few riders who are doing what you suggest.

    Rye House 2018

Kennett has been injured so unlikely he would want to take 7 rides.
  10. Remember the days when unknown Aussies would ride anywhere mostly in second half races to get used to UK conditions. A return to those times might bring about more riders available to clubs - Aussies and Brits.

    Eastbourne 2018

The Eastbourne track has always been a difficult one for inexperienced riders. It’s grippy condition means it has to be attacked and makes for some strung out races. Better riders do ok but if you are in the novice bracket then learn fast! I don’t understand why it can’t be slicker for NL least to give riders the chance to actually slide the bike around the corners consistently.
  12. At least 5 of the Premier teams have riders who are in their teams because their average fits so they can build the team stronger at the other end. I doubt any of them would have a team place otherwise.
  13. Love the way Poole followers (hardly supporters) slag off young James who is starting his career at his local track. Shocking! Just why Holder doesn't or won’t ride for this team seems to make sense now.

    Boss Man CV

This league is about producing riders for the 2 leagues above which are rapidly running out. If you have a league winning side then that’s good as well.

    Rye House 2018

We keep being told how much weaker this league is now but I’m a bit concerned that 3 riders with a 100 plus GP’s behind them are struggling?
  16. You may say watered down product but from what I see in Poland our racing is more exciting. Maybe small tracks are better. Unfortunately we don’t get their crowds that appear to be more ‘football’ than motorsport.
  17. With some riders not having team kevlars it would be nice if Rye had some race jackets and not those awful team shirts! The interval demo on the motor x track was interesting.......
  18. At this level there’s little home track advantage now. Better riders can ride anywhere.
  19. No figment of speech Steve
  20. Watched Woffinden for 2 seasons at Rye and he was the finished article at a very young age. Dan I believe arrived later to Speedway but he has improved each year and it’s now just confidence that’s needed to go to higher level.
  21. Don’t see any reason for Poole to complain apart from Kildemand’s lack of points. Wolves very good at home.
  22. This meeting reminded me of Rye’s trips to Sheffield when regulary got a battering with comments like ‘ you need a very quick engine at Sheffield’

    Lakeside 2018

Totally agree he has produced probably the best crop of new riders we have seen for years. If only this had been set up years ago!
  24. Sadly that is the case and doubt this team would make much impression in the Championship! Another reason for merging the leagues.
  25. Yes Poland is light years away from the UK and we can blame the promoters of yesteryear for all our current troubles through lack of investment when they had it good.
