Paulco 7,092 Posted September 8, 2012 (edited) Last home league meeting of the season this coming Sunday , but it gives us a chance to enjoy the riding of ( possibly ) 5 of last year's 9 riders we used in our title winning campaign . Joe Screen picked up a knee injury at Plymouth last night , so his participation is very doubtful . But James Grieves and Josh Grajczonek will take up their usual places in the Tigers' side , whilst the Bandits will have Nick Morris guesting again for them and David Bellego is the other title winning Tiger on view . Henning Bager must also be a doubt after missing Plymouth last night , following his groin injury sustained last week . While this has been a hugely disappointing and worrying season after the joy of 2011 , it would be good to finish with 3 points . Our visitors have had a nightmare season with injuries , but will still track a septet capable of giving us problems . Sunday's teams are - Glasgow Tigers 1 Son of God ( guest ) 2 Mason Campton 3 Josh Grajczonek 4 Henning Bager or R/R 5 James Grieves 6 Charles Wright 7 Filip Sitera Berwick Bandits 1 Nick Morris ( g) 2 David Bellego 3 Nikki Barrett 4 Robin Aspegren 5 Seb Alden 6 Micky Dyer 7 Klaus Jakobsen Impossible to predict how this will go , as the Glasgow line-up is still unsure . But at least it's forecast to be drier than the last time the Bandits were due in town . Late flash . Joe Screen wont make it tomorrow . Son of God is his replacement . A Lawson wearing the number 1 racejacket for the Tigers ......................oh the memories Edited September 8, 2012 by Paulco
MD 1,312 Posted September 8, 2012 The return of Nick Morris makes it more attractive, though again we need to be scoring right from the start, especially if Screen is missing. We also need Sitera to move up from his 125cc engine of last week. Home win likely unless Barrett and Aspegren turn out to be top drawer! Hopefully we will hear tomorrow what is happening regarding future fixtures and 2013. Richard Lawson in for Screen and r/r for Bager.
Bandit59 1,153 Posted September 9, 2012 Dont think there will be much in the reserves scores so hopefully Berwicks top 5 will outscore Glasgows no more injuries

MD 1,312 Posted September 9, 2012 Currently overcast but dry and humid. Pleasant conditions for watching speedway if the rain stays away!

MD 1,312 Posted September 9, 2012 (edited) A welcome 3 points for Glasgow in our final home PL fixture but was ruined again by the forecast rain. Had it stayed dry the Bandits would've taken us all the way as they got stuck right in, Jacobsen and Morris apart. Barrett, Aspegren and Alden all looked comfortable sweeping wide and fast on bends 1 & 2 and Alden cutting back on turn four chasing the Tiger in front. I could watch that all day and would happily have lost a home win and the rain to see it, now that the top six is out of reach. Sitera continued his miserable run, twice breaking a chain but Lawson was an excellent replacement for Screen with 14. Just a couple of away matches now to finish off the PL season, a guest for Screen may be a tough choice at Armadale on Friday with quite a few matches on. highroad119 101 Posted September 9, 2012 Dont think nick morris poor return was down to anything other than poor gating, looked quick enough, just sluggish out the trap., fair play to bandit riders who were good entertainment.
DW 11 Posted September 9, 2012 Your not kidding about the choice of guests on Friday, if Joe's not fit. Rye House, Newcastle and Sheffield are our choices as Ipswich and Leicester are ruled out due to 8 day rule or 192 hour rule or whatever!! Stuart Robson looks like the only choice. Edinburgh can use Ipswich or Leicester so they have more choice. Rye also need somebody although if I were them I would go for James Grieves
Fromafar 10,397 Posted September 9, 2012 Poor gating cost us today.Plenty of effort from the Bandits.Rain started during the match which make the track a little greasy and gating became vital.Seb was taking the Lee Complin line and Nikki was impressive and well worth his points David had bike trouble in what looked like his easiest heat (8) but had 2 good heat wins. DSC67 1,465 Posted September 9, 2012 Three duck eggs from Jakobsen probably cost us a point today I thought that Nicki was impressive for a first visit in what where tricky conditions , Klauw will have to improve if the Bandits want anything from next weekends meetings
