Got to love threads like this..."folks, stay at home, watch speedway on TV, and use this fantastic interactive scorecard".

One day someone will cause an upset by saying "folks, make an effort, go to the track, PAY your admission, BUY a programme, and help the sport survive.

One day maybe. When it's too late perhaps?

So we will take that you will be attending this meeting, with that rally cry to fans.

I'm struggling to find an excuse to go. Likely no Kenneth or Niels for us and £25. Just no appeal when you've seen the SWC at King's Lynn for £15. Value for money it is not

Who knows what the deal is with BSI and their swc price tag, do they actually pay the riders or is that a FIM responsibility?

I'm obviously very disappointed that Niels, Darcy (along with Janowski had an amazing race this season and was looking forward to some more!) and probably Kenneth won't be in it but the reigning champ will be :-)

Surely we're doing the riders who will be racing in it a disservice, Doyle, Zagar and Bomber have all just qualified for the GPS, the smoooooth Janowski will be a joy to watch ....

For sure lots of the number ones are missing but the competition should be more competitive without them shouldn't it?

Will Vaclav Millik be riding in this or will it be Josh Grajczonek or Kyle Newman??

How many exclusively Elite League riders will actually turn up and ride? Bet they are outnumbered by double uppers.

£25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They really are having a laugh.

The national people who govern these events don't seem to understand the costs to the fans . They must think money grows on trees. £25.00 admission, for a substandard field, on a weeknight, do they really expect fans to turnout in their thousands, hundreds

This was once the Mecca individual event of the year. Only the top rider from each club was able to compete, some clubs couldn't achieve that. There were more Clubs than places.

Always held at Hyde Road, Belle Vue and the place was packed, Tickets with affordable for everyone, and the atmosphere was unbelievable. To win the BLRC was second only to the World Championship. How times have changed......

With so many top Elite rider missing, surely the admission could have reflected the current state of the game and tried to attract new fans instead of ripping, what few there are, off at every opportunity.
