1 top draw maximum a swan it does not make.

Time and space is required

but as the the old proverb goes.....

Even the longest journey starts with a single step

Very impressed with young Lambert, fast and controlled.

His riding style reminds me of Martin Dugard in his early days.

Tai was better than most at his age, still not much difference between everyone now. Nicki didn't start his British career until he was 21 and he's won more world titles.

IMO only Emil and Lee better than Lambert AT 16! and that includes Ward!

I think you are right "Tellboy he does remind me of Dugard,i see quite alot of Martin when he was partnered with Nielsen at Oxford. As for Robert i would put only Lee,Ward,Emil in front at the same stage of there career.

Do you think Ward was better than Lambert Sidney at 16, hard one to call

( only because of Lambert's poor gating but hopefully he looked the other night he had addressed that.Ward was a talent and always will be but no one comes close to Lee.And he went on to do it for a longer period than most think and remember 1975/83 a world title winner and Longtrack was placed twice and fourth once in six world final appearances.

I forgot Lambert was still 16...I forgot he was too young to actually start last season at this stage...that performance was outstanding for a 16 year old....there will be ups and downs and some poor scores this year but he's a hell of a prospect , and he says he had been getting advice on gating so his equipment and set ups will get better all the time and he will be a top top rider.

I remember seeing Jason Crump win the Australian under 16 title at Bibra Lake and you knew how good he would become....Joe Screen as I said was the best 16 year old I saw but I now think Lambert will make it to the top....no pressure then !

Far better than Ivan Mauger at that age.Ivan only got a 2.22 average in the old Southern League and in the top league only managed to get 1 meeting .Admitedly Ivan didn't have to ride the tricky Lakeside track though
