Belle Vue V Lakeside Mon 6th July

Recommended Posts

I'm surprised this meetings tomorrow but no thread for it esp after Belle Vue's win against Poole last week.

Belle Vue are at full strength. Let's hope Zagar can ride like he did in the SGP as was very impressive.

Davey Watt guests in place of Kim Nilsson and Paul Starke in place of Ashley Birks. Starke rode well when he guested for the bees a couple of weeks ago.

3rd week on the trot of Starke riding at Belle Vue, he wasn't quite as good last week for Poole as he was for Coventry.

Watt rode very well for Poole last week but was at second string, he will find it tougher at heatleader.

Looks like rain coming in at 9.00pm so let's hope sky get on with it and it's not another heat 10 debacle.

Shocking choice of Sky meeting as will be a massive home win.

Will prob stay at home and watch the grass growing.

A lot of you underestimating Lakeside they have been poor this year but they are our bogey team at Belle Vue, always do well. Strengthened at reserve with Starke in and Watt doesn't weaken them much.

Sky's choice of matches has been particularly lamentable this year, apart from obvious choices like King's Lynn v Poole. I do wonder who is the person who decides.

Wednesday's even worse with Peterborough heading for Berwick with half the team missing because they're Danes who have their own league to race in on that day of the week. That should have been forseen and the match changed.

A few weeks ago this looked like a very solid choice, as both sides looked to be battling it out for the final PO spot along with Swindon.

Over the last few weeks, Belle Vue have cemented their place as the likely 4th place side, which leaves us with a number of 'dead-rubber' meetings towards the end of the season.

Lakeside are very good (usually!) at Belle Vue, so this may be closer than expected, especially as the weather looks like it could be a leveller

I think Starke for Birks makes Hammers stronger and Watty for Nilsson is neither a loss or a gain, on paper Hammers look like a team that should be able to go to a small track and be competitive but the age old problem of being poor travelers seems to continually haunt us, at this point i have no idea on how many Aces will win by but they will certainly win and more than likely by more than 8, as a neutral best we can hope for is Hammers gate and the entertainment is provided by Zager and Co working their way through.

Think you'll find most Hammers fans are expecting another embarrassing performance
