thebaron 434 Posted June 1, 2016 Ben barker please mr Godfrey Thinking same; would we ? Hes 7.70 on latest Greensheets we could fit him in. Right rider at the right time ? But hes not torn up many trees at Glasgee this year. Certainly one of the best around the EWR on form and is the "big hitter" we need.

thebaron 434 Posted June 2, 2016 (edited) Not read every post but has Mr Barker been dropped?.. we had him last year as guest and he agreed to guest everytime so we were prepared to pay him If you were promoter it might be a conversation you would have ?; but as always I don't like changing; as much as we have been misfiring as a team; I believe in the riders we considered good enough; to take us deeper into the season. But if a rider like Barker; a recognised specialist around our track comes available; you would not know your speedway if it was not in your thinking. Mmmmm I'm thinking? Islander15 1,065 Posted June 2, 2016 Barker is entertaining and still a decent rider! Surely that's both of Rob's criteria. As to who to drop, I think it would have to be Davies. He's been inconsistent this year and not really stepped it up from last year imo.

phillwhitewasmad 1,487 Posted June 7, 2016 So as I see it Kerr comes in for lyager leaving us about 1.8 under the limit could then possibly make one more change to give the team the number one it needs don't know who is available on an average slightly higher than 8. lucifer sam 3,960 Posted June 7, 2016 You couldnt make it up man having some rotten luck are scunny!! How many meetings did he have left before getting a proper average?? Poor bloke. He'd done 5 home but only 1 away (Plymouth last year), so it would have been a while before he'd have got a proper average. All the best Rob
archie21 50 Posted June 7, 2016 Andreas Lyager forced to quit: http://scunthorpescorpions.co/?p=5629 All the best Rob Another team change! Rob G. you must stop all the black cats crossing your path!! I am sure that whatever team changes come to Scuni that the team will not stay at the bottom of the league for long.. Come on onwards and upwards.
thebaron 434 Posted June 7, 2016 I like Lewis and its brilliant to see how well he has recovered and so brave to take on the challenge of racing speedway so soon after his injuries. But; for that reason I do think we get him at a time when he is still in that recovery process; and we have to be careful not to expect him to suddenly turn our season around. Personally I would have tried for Ty Procter; because he comes back very much with a point to prove; and you get Aussie mates rates from him circa teaming with Alex and Ryan. I could be wrong. Welcome to Scunthorpe Lewis; and all the best; lets re-group and draw a line under things from here...
