Nilsson is riding, well at least I think he is, not seen anywhere to suggest otherwise.

This is all about covering for the 2nd string double-downers when both are missing the same EL meeting!

r/r for one and a regular replacement (squad member?) for the other to appease the majority of fans who forever complain about the over-use of guests!!

It depends on what is meant by "squad"

CVS explained that whilst it was to encourage more of the top boys to 'share' a number one role if could include job shares for any of the positions.

Poor Leicester and Kings Lynn cannot complete their teams and there's Lakeside working with 8 riders. :D

With, possibly, another one to come!

Is Cookie trying to win the league by default ? If he signs enough riders, No other bugger can field a team. :D

How on earth did Swiderski's average get so low?! I don't remember him doing that badly at any point in his EL career. If Pedersen rides to anything like he did before last season Lakeside could be a dark horse this year.

You should've seen him at Brandon last year. In his rides im not sure he completed a full lap combined!

Getting back Swiderski is a mistake in my opinion, the really struggled last year just can't see any reason why next season should be different.

Getting back Swiderski is a mistake in my opinion, the really struggled last year just can't see any reason why next season should be different.

One reason is that he can't be much worse than the variety of guests that turned up at Lakeside last season. Secondly, although he is perhaps not the man he once was he has always been a track specialist at Lakeside, with a long record of good service for the club, so will have the crowd behind him which makes all the difference to a rider, and thirdly he was brought in at 5 at Leicester which is a bit above him but as a second string, he should have the experience to get him through.

I agree he probably won't pull up any trees away from home but Lakeside's immediate problem after last year is to start winning a few home matches, and Swid has proved himself capable of winning heat 15. In fact if my memory is not playing tricks on me he best AJ when he came with Leicester last year.

It is not inconceivable that Swidders could turn out in a reserve position!

Seems like a good idea in principle, but a proper BSPA press release is conspicuous by its absence.

Nothing new there then.

Interesting that Swidders is said to be on a "bargain" average of 3.87 . Well, it's only a bargain if it means he squeezes in just under the points limit. If they have two or three points to spare anyway it's not a bargain. Does this mean the points limit has been reduced ?

We shall have to wait and see but it will be interesting to see if Kenny Bjerre squeezes in anywhere now.

It has been hinted that Lynn can now slot Kenneth Bjerre into draft Tier 1 . After all his CMA is well less than Newman Kerr, and such....
