Berwick Vs Ipswich 18th

Recommended Posts

Thankfully for Ipswich at least Danny King turned up, the rest needn't have bothered. Sad to see how far Ben Barkers form has falling away, couple of seasons ago he was one of the PL`s top riders sadly now he looks very much like his best days are very much behind. But for a blip at Glasgow last Sunday Berwick`s form at the minute is excellent, bring in the right rider at No1 and we might just hang onto a play off place yet.

Regarding tapes up at 7pm, as advertised, couldn't agree more.

can't see what fuss is about ten minutes late for heat one. Surely folk can spare ten minutes of their lives

Obviously top scoring in his first 2 meetings don't count...... such short memories

Anybody have any idea how Leon Flint got on in Denmark yesterday?

Came 9th so was 1st reserve for the final today, fell whilst leading in heat 1 and lost the run-off for 8th unfortunately, still an absolutely fantastic performance from him, well done Leon!

not an excuse though if it was bad he wouldn't ride!? And he's had plenty of meetings so should be up to speed! Let's face it he's always been a rubbish rider

I don't think that his problems are physical , it's more off the track and track mechanical issues that's the biggest problem

Some of you lot never seem happy. You wanted changes and changes were made, now those riders are being moaned about. You do realise the riders don't underperform on purpose. As captain pugwash said last week, you should always give the riders the benifit of doubt. I know the riders will feel really bad about their own performance last night, and will be doing their best to put it right tonight.

Change for change sake very rarely works though, Ipswich seem to have a capable team on paper but aren't producing decent results on track.

The results are not as good as is being expected, maybe that's the question that should be being asked. Has anyone asked the management or riders why?

Anyone with half a brain could see that the reserve pairing was going to be weak. What on earth were Ipswich thinking when they bought Castagnas contract?

id say fans have every right to be unhappy about that sort of performance.

I dont think anyone has doubted their effort or that they will be feeling bad about it themselves.

There has been plenty of 'benefit of the doubt' given as well but eventually goodwill gets thin.

We all know they are capable and just hope to see it more often - hopefully starting today.

To keep record straight, the parade was due to go out spot on time @ 6.50, but a person in the Ipswich camp raised a query at the last moment about a Berwick rider's equipment, and getting it checked (it was all in order) caused an eight-minute delay. Apologies, but not the home promotion's fault.

Fair enough but in the best interests of PR maybe this should have been announced?

Or maybe it was - I wasn't there.

Riders ride with all sorts of injuries and often way way below fitness.

A lot of meetings doesn't necessarily mean he's over the accident physically and mentally.

It was an horrendous crash if you remember.

And he's certainly not always been a rubbish rider.

Certainly not a smooth stylist but not rubbish.

I can't stand the bloke but respect his achievements.

Probably don't have enough money left to afford decent machinery.

Thats probably nearer the truth.
