Mark 1,497 Posted June 29, 2016 The closeness of the score is making it exciting, but the track doesn't look in great shape It was embarrassing celebrating beating Clegg & Bewley Crowd liked it but later results show it may never happen again. Very poor meeting with zero close racing or passing.
mdmc82 2,878 Posted June 29, 2016 I think the racing has improved since heat 9. Garcia has been very impressive. Congratulations to Glasgow on their win 👍🏻
Solidmango 188 Posted June 29, 2016 Crowd liked it but later results show it may never happen again. Very poor meeting with zero close racing or passing. You're repeating yourself. If you're not enjoying it change the channel. Terrific atmosphere and meeting here!
allthegearbutnaeidea 1,738 Posted June 29, 2016 TBF I have seen better meetings at Glasgow but if the track was like it normally Is aka around heat 8 oneards basically you can see it would be a much bigger scoreline, congratulations Glasgow!
Steve0 5,517 Posted June 29, 2016 Well done to the Tigers That is what a speedway crowd should look and sound like on TV - well done to the promotion and fans. For all the moaners, the rain had an impact on the track and track is usually deeper than tonight which makes for great racing!
marko 956 Posted June 29, 2016 Newsflash, it does not matter if the keyboard warriors are enjoying this meeting or not, Tigers fans are and that's all that is important, they will be there next week, will the keyboard warriors? Weather is crap at the moment, far from summer we should be having, tracks will be hard to get right, it is what it is, moaning about it won't help.
Daniel Smith 5,685 Posted June 29, 2016 I've really enjoyed the meeting tonight. What is evident and was the case when King's Lynn were Premier League, the riders care more and entertain the paying public. Everything that was on show tonight was everything that's missing from the Elite League Congratulations to Glasgow and a valiant effort from Edinburgh
Mark 1,497 Posted June 29, 2016 (edited) You're repeating yourself. If you're not enjoying it change the channel. Terrific atmosphere and meeting here! You must have been watching a different 10 heats than me as it was dross so I did turn over as the GP is on BT Sport. As for the atmosphere I agree it did look a lively crowd. And I also said the rain played its part with the track. Edited June 29, 2016 by marky
ruckerroo 793 Posted June 29, 2016 Atmosphere , the one single thing missing from nearly every track in the country. Well done to the glasgow promotion
Robinh88 571 Posted June 29, 2016 Pretty average, admittedly better than Berwick, mind Edinburgh battled and actually turned up
TheScotsman 2,484 Posted June 29, 2016 Vintage stuff from the Fish. Deserved win for the tiggers.

salty 2,208 Posted June 29, 2016 Thoroughly enjoyed that. Racing might not have been out of the top drawer, but everything else about the meeting was. Great to see such a super turn-out having such an enjoyable time at a Speedway meeting. As for Danny Ayres - might have only won Heat 2 but the crowd obviously loved his celebration - which is surely the main thing?
Endeavour 684 Posted June 29, 2016 Monarchs - 11 points from 4 riders. Garcia 13 points for Glasgow from reserve spot. Credit to Dan but our other three were posted missing. Need to get a run of home wins to get up the league. Maybe have been a different season if Mark Riss had started it rather than Etheridge.
TheScotsman 2,484 Posted June 29, 2016 Mark Riss looked decent in his last 2 rides. Reckon he'll do well. Since I've not been to Ashfield, is there usually much passing or is it more like Berwick?
