2017 Grand Prix Venues

Recommended Posts

We had no problems at all when we went there for the SEC, by car all the way from Holland. It's cheap and good :)

quite like the idea of the Latvian GP for some reason.

You an get to Daugavpils and back in a day from places like Riga, Kaunas and Vilnius, where there are plenty of budget flights to. Car hire there is reasonable, the roads are good, and the big towns have all the usual hotel options. As has been said, Daugavpils is not exactly a touristy place to spend a weekend but the other options make for a nice little excursion.

I know it hasn't proved to be a problem so far with the SEC rounds at Togliatti, but a potential issue with staging the GP Challenge at Togliatti may well be getting Russian visas for certain riders.

I would have thought a bigger problem would be logistics - pretty sure Onesport have transported all the bikes in one vehicle from Poland(probably with armed guards!!) I would think the organisers/FIM will have to do something similar.
