ovalfan 14 Posted March 2, 2017 Just to add Brandon Estates Jersey Ltd was called Investin Brandon jersey Ltd until 2015. There is an Investin Brandon Ltd based in Solihull also. Investin brandon has a director Anthony Copeland who is also a director of first house associates. Sandhu is also a director of first house associates. Does Copeland have connection to brandon estates?
wealdstone 3,454 Posted March 2, 2017 The root cause of all this stems from BSPA mafia shafting Coventry and Peterborough during winter of discontent.
abbo 229 Posted March 2, 2017 In 2010 Sandhu told a meeting that he intended to sell the stadium for housing and that he would provide a new stadium describing it as easy to build a speedway stadium. After that he fell out of love with speedway and now we are in the position of very little future unless a miracle is performed especially with Horton gone! Chris 441 Posted March 3, 2017 Ford didn't like being knocked off his perch. It was clear that Coventry under Sandhu with his finances, enthusiasm and professionalism( in comparison to the other cowboy promoters) would have cleaned up for many years. Ford and the BSPA weren't having that.
heathen chemistry 660 Posted March 3, 2017 ask yourself this question ...if the plan was to demolish and sell for housing why would sandhu apply for planning permission to build a grandstand on the back straight costing quite a bit of money , just to demolish it a few years later?? Ford didn't like being knocked off his perch. It was clear that Coventry under Sandhu with his finances, enthusiasm and professionalism( in comparison to the other cowboy promoters) would have cleaned up for many years. Ford and the BSPA weren't having that. they closed ranks ,sandhu had the finances , he was the only one that owned the stadium , he wanted an independent panel that was like red rag to a bull with the bspa

Woz01 3,589 Posted March 3, 2017 (edited) Investin brandon has a director Anthony Copeland who is also a director of first house associates. Sandhu is also a director of first house associates. Does Copeland have connection to brandon estates?Yes at least a link. The person listed as having significant control of Investin brandon is a John Downer who is also CEO of Investin PLC based at the exact same address as Brandon Estates (jersey). Of course Brandon Estates (jersey) used to be called Investin Brandon (jersey). Investin PLC actually have developments in Coventry and Rugby. ask yourself this question ...if the plan was to demolish and sell for housing why would sandhu apply for planning permission to build a grandstand on the back straight costing quite a bit of money , just to demolish it a few years later?? You have to ask why he wouldn't budge on the size of it. A metre difference would have got permission. Edited March 3, 2017 by woz01

kingbee 510 Posted March 3, 2017 What does it matter who's fault it is Bees are not running in 2017 it's not going to make any difference who's fault it is or who's part of what company move on let's get Brandon up and running again because that is the best chance we've got of having speedway
MFE 105 Posted March 3, 2017 So Sandhu should never have been allowed into speedway? Er, I don't think he was. He bought a stadium that staged speedway with a view to using it for housing. That was 12 years ago - to be honest we are lucky to have got to 2016 with speedway still on the site. Had it not been for the morons running the sport, he would probably still be in charge and the Bees flourishing. Unlike Horton, he was supporter friendly, despite his initial reasons for buying Brandon. As for not running a whelk stall, I think you'll find he has been far more successful in business than any current speedway promoter. I fully understand your dismay but there are some silly statements in that piece. Really, the Speedway ran in perfect harmony for 80 years before Sandhu arrived, of course he wanted to build houses, but he was still accepted into the BSPA to run the Bees. As for your claim to being supporter friendly, don't think so, it was all a game to him to achieve his ultimate aim. He destroyed the stadium by making it unusable he made promises that he continually failed to keep. There was no way with Sandhu in charge that would see the Bees flourish, he was bad news from Day 1. He may be a successful businessman but where is the morality and decency of his actions.
Jacques 3,114 Posted March 3, 2017 We are talking about the same Sandhu that was so far in debt that the bank sold the stadium from underneath him right? But he promised to put the stadium back together, what was the estimated cost again, £100k + it's all BS!
lisa-colette 6,032 Posted March 3, 2017 100% Steve? Coventry would probably still be running if your promoter hadn't of shafted him. Oh here we go. You can't blame him for everything y'know!
