Bandits V Witches. 8th July

Recommended Posts

Well I think that's what you call a meeting of two halves , The Bandits almost pulled off a bigger comeback than Lazarus, even after the 8-1 in ht 6 I still couldn't see us. doing very much . The Witches must be breathing a huge sigh of relief after almost throwing it away . Track conditions made passing difficult and it was always going to come down to who, gated in the nominated riders race unfortunately for Berwick it was Ipswich that made it and that as they say was that. The situation at reserve needss to be resolved if Lee or Ryan aren't coming back then something needs to be done on a permanent basis , also when does Joe Jacobs 28 days finish? Will Lewis be back ? Another in a long line of tough meetings next weekend I'd prefer to see 7 fully fledged Berwick riders lining up in black and gold

The 0-5 probably helped Ipswich as Sedgman as embarrassing to say the least

Maybe justin was saving himself for Newcastle. Let's hope so anyway.

Having looked it how our rivals have done at Newcastle.. Glasgow won. Edinburgh got a draw and sheffield a point. Let's see what we can get.

Quite a meeting, as at the end of Ht5 things were looking bleak for Berwick, with another hammering on the cards, but an 8-1 in Ht6 and it all changed. Don`t know if it was over confidence, or thinking an away win was in the bag but the Ipswich collapse was alarming and they must be disappointed they didn't come away with a full point away win. Great effort from the home side who just came up short in the end.

Very impressed with your 2 reserves deserved all their points never gave up didn't think it would be that close some good races think Flinty was in charge again Where's Havvy ? Like to thank Ryan Douglas good guest

If Havelock has left the club, or is taking time away you`d like to think there would be some kind of an announcement from the club. You have the odd situation where from Friday`s meeting at Edinburgh you have direct quotes attributed to Havelock when he wasn't there.

Surely Gary Flint can't be clerk of the course and team manager the the same time ? In an away match it's possible but it can't be done at Sheilfield on a Saturday night isn't there to much for him to do without have team manager duties too , added to that there bound to be a conflict of interests is there not ?

Its been a strange season at Berwick. For all that was said before about the previous promotion results were never like this!!!

In addition we had a centre green announcer who you could make out as they never felt the need to yell into the microphone.

The website is another area that leaves some questions as well along with lack of updates around riders who are injured and when we are likely to see them back. In this day of social media and instant access for update there is no excuse.

Sadly there is a lot of unrest in the crowds which are also dipping greatly.
