"Competition a little to hot tonight for Davey Watt", you don`t say Kelvin.

Whether through qualification, selection, ego trip, whatever, there is no way Watt should be any where near this SGP.

Vaculik can forget about top 8 now, beaten by Watt.

Don't deserve a pick for that.

Whilst looking for another rule- I found this which sort of explains all the Aussies in the field

For long haul or out of Europe meetings, in the event of absence

and non-availability confirmed less than 30 days before the date of the

event, the SGP Commission will make the selection of substitute riders

in collaboration with the FMNR of the meeting

Seems like they should have selected locals that were in form rather than just promoting the initially selected meeting reserves... that would still seem to fit with that ruling.

Good new for Freddie there, Steve.

In fairness Vaculik would have needed to score something like 18 points to overhaul Fred anyway.

Fred would be back next year anyway as top Swede.

Can't see what all the fuss is about Watt taking part, it's only due to injuries and provides him with a taste of big time to bring the curtain down on a decent career.

Great to see Doyle still prepared to get stuck in, could easily have switched off and nobody would have complained, respect to him for appreciated the fact that the crowd have paid good money and deserve as much racing as possible.

So name a stadium that can hold speedway for 25,000 in Melbourne or any other well populated city in Australia.

Your comment makes no sense. Its like saying Cardiff is too big because only 40,000 attend a 70,000 seater stadium. .

The AAMI stadium??? Capacity about 30000.

Hosting speedway events in half empty stadiums js embarrasing.
